Garman builds a good house and are very in tune to what you want and need!
Everyone I dealt with was very communicative and the process was very straightforward.
Experience was overall easy from beginning to end. Everyone we encountered was friendly and knowledgeable.
This is a beautiful house though there are some things I wish had been done differently such addition of more noise reduction insulation.
HOA was poorly designed and misleading on purchase. developer/ builder left in poor financial position and have been unresponsive in correcting or addressing, water meters were known needed to be installed but waited over year, still many unanswered questions
Communication throughout the process was subpar as we consistently did not get responses or had to wait multiple days or weeks prior to getting a response. There are also issues with attention to detail with a lot of little issues in regard to quality and finishing touches of the home. If you decide to use Garman, make sure to be your own advocate to keep them accountable.
We decided to build with Garman based on recommendations from family and friends. We were sorely disappointed by the overall experience. Some of which were not in control of Garman, such as supply chain issues due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, however, many issues were within the control of Garman and they did not deliver what was promised. The biggest issue is their communication and quality of finish work.
Communication, Garman decided to change our point of contact just as we started construction, this was due to an internal reorganization. This ended up being a mess. Meetings were missed, progress updates were lacking, we had to chase down our contact for updates. Items that were ordered were missed and would not have been completed if it were not us catching them.
Finish work, the biggest issue we have is the installation of our very expensive hardwood floor and the paint. The quality of work is not what you would expect while paying such a large premium for quality finishes. Wanting to repaint only 30 days into a newly constructed home. Flooring, gaps, dents, scratches, chipping, etc. 60 days after receipt of the home we are still awaiting repairs, these items were pointed out prior to completion.
Kristen Hunt in the Garman design center, by far the best experience we have ever had while selecting items for our home. Kristen knows how to make you feel comfortable and to guide you through selections. Kristen is an asset to the Garman organization with a very customer centric attitude and personality to match.
Sue Wilson in the Customer Care department. Sue is organized and communicates very effectively, with one thing in mind, take care of customer issues and communicate updates often, without being asked. Sue is also an asset to the Garman organization.
Communications is key to customer satisfaction. Also how you respond to the customer when they raise concerns. When our concerns were raised, the ownership simply was not there, always an excuse. If you want to be awed by your builder, look elsewhere. Garman is not worth the money you spend.
Garman is a company of quality people who deliver a quality product!
Garman Buildings is an excellent organization. They work with integrity, provide quality products and truly care about their customers. I have and will continue to refer them to anyone who is interested in building a new home.

It was a pleasure working with Garman and continues to be! Rodney Martin was our personal builder who met us for each of the on-site visits and kept us up to date with the progress of our home each week - he was fantastic! Even post-move-in, if we have a question or need something, the service team has been very helpful, particularly Sue Wilson. All-around great experience.
They kept to their schedule, and kept in contact with us.
I think they are good builders, but there is room for improvement. There some things in the house that I found that I don't think should have happened.
They were responsive and moved fast even with the pandemic and responded well to any concerns of mine.

Our process in home construction with Garman has been a pleasant experience. We were never felt pressured to go one way or another in the construction of our home and all opinions of the Garman employees we interacted with were more than appreciated. There are a lot of horror stories about home construction and while our home construction was not complete without its share of small and easy to find fixes, it was complete on time and the schedule given at the start of the process was kept to. The craftmanship that went into the residence is stellar and Garman exceeded our expectations for how the process would go.
We would build again with Garman Builders. Every person at Garman we worked with was professional, helpful and honest. They do what they say they will do.
The attention to detail with their design studio is amazing compared to what other builders offer. The attention to detail on what you want in your home and outside your home is great.
