The project as a whole was very successful and turned out nearly exactly as we planned, but it was a long, drawn-out process with many surprises, not all of which were pleasant, nearly all because of shortcomings of the design and lack of detail/planning in the early stages of the process. Once the construction process started, things went less smoothly than anticipated, nearly all of the problems caused by the lack of quality work from the subcontractors. The Dave Fox people that worked on the project were all very good, especially Nick, Bob, Braydon and Curt.

Bob is an expert craftsman and I know that Evan picked him out specifically to work on my project. I really appreciated that decision.

From the initial consultation with Courtney and Shannon, to the design work with Joann and the build with Joe, Ann and Bryant, the entire team demonstrated incredible professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail.

The design team, led by Courtney and Joe, worked closely with us to understand our vision and needs, blending style with functionality perfectly. They transformed our unfinished basement into a beautiful, multi-purpose space that includes a family lounge, bar area, gym, and special Wine and Whiskey area. Courtney, Joe and Joann were able to redesign the original bathroom to include a infrared sauna, which initially, was not possible. And a special thank you to Daniel who installed all the tile. Daniel was able to ensure symmetry throughout the different spaces. Each area flows seamlessly, and the materials they selected feel high-quality and durable, while looking fantastic.

The construction process was smooth and well-organized. The team kept us updated at every stage, whether Joe as the Project Manager or the artisans, Ann and Bryant, and managed the timeline impressively, especially given the scope of the work. They addressed any questions we had and made sure the job site was tidy and safe every day, which we greatly appreciated. Joann was happy to spend the time we required to guide us expertly though the selection of the finishing touches which resulted in a finished basement that is truly special.

The finished space has added tremendous value to our home, not just in terms of square footage, but in enhancing our day-to-day enjoyment. The overall price is too high. There seems to be too much overhead in the process, which drives the price way up. They nickel and dimed me for everything, and then when they purchased extra, the mark-up was huge and the amount of product purchased was too much. I had to eat that. Now I have to store enough siding to reside a quarter of my house. It is available by the stick, but they bought a huge box. They were very meticulous and it took a long time to find a basic light. If I'd have known the mark-up and time, I would have bought them myself, probably saving thousands.
