From working with the sales staff, and the builders, my entire experience was great.

We love our home and Cothran has been easy to work with and very responsive to the few issues we have had. The Cothran team seems to genuinely care about their houses and customer satisfaction.

There were several build quality issues that came up, this made the build feel rushed and the 'good' builder reputation described to me, seemed closer to "better than the rest." This was improved by the communication from the build manager and the quick repair of the things that needed repair.

Their staff has been so nice to work with and they really care! You can tell they have high standards and will take care of you.

I would not hesitate to recommend Cothran Homes to anyone interested in purchasing a well built home.

18 months after building a townhome with Cothran Homes – we experienced two water spots from a roof leak on the upstairs bedroom ceiling after a rain storm. I called Cothran who hid behind the 1-year warranty and also the HOA. They said the roof is the responsibility of the HOA. I called the HOA who immediately sent a roofer. The roofer reported no evidence of water leaking from the roof, however, it was 10 days after the leak happened. The HOA was quick to take the position that there was no problem and dismissed the issue. We had the same roofer come back when it was raining who identified two different leaks – one around a vent pipe and another area where they replace some shingles.

The bill was $600, which the HOA refused to pay since thy did not approve the roofer returning a second time. The builder has also gone silent on my email communications.

For those prospective customers considering Cothran Homes, I would think twice. It is unfortunate that Cothran took this position, but if this is how they treat new customers with this issue then you should consider another builder. There are builders out there who stand behind their work.

Great process from start to finish!

The convenience and proximity of the shopping centers to the community are very decent. It is very commuteable. From this standpoint, I rate them a five.

We love Christian and Matt; they are the best of the best. This is our 2nd home with Cothran Homes, and we chose them again.

I also recommended my brother who is also buying a unit in the same complex.

Overall a well built home.

Builders have a poor reputation for follow through and follow up. Shortly after moving there were a number of items that required a resolution. After initial meeting, there was zero contact. In addition, I recently passed my one year in house. There is supposed to be a follow up. I have not been contacted yet. All in all disappointing.

Our experience with Connie Ketchum was A-1! She is and was, most helpful in answering questions and resolving issues. Recommending this type of home would depend on what friends are looking for.

Additional Comments - We are very pleased and this is our second Cothran Home. We have confidence and enjoy the Cothran home. The changes in the amenities and the design are great. It is like a retreat, which is better than our current townhome.

Areas Of Satisfaction - I would say Cothran Homes met and exceeded my expectations by being flexible on their end with the closing. Most builders would say, "Hey, you know what. We are offering the home to someone else. You didn't qualify or aren't in a position to buy this home," or they would let other buyers consider it. So, I think for me, it was just the fact that they stood behind the fact that is was our home.
