We're three-for-three with Chad's. We're running out of projects, but not good things to say about Chad's.

If someone wants a hands-off build, I highly recommend. All the folks are well qualified and talented individuals.

I’ve recommended Chad’s to several people who are seriously considering a project in the near future, because we had such a good experience.

We contracted with Chads Design Build to convert a small 1st floor bedroom into a bathroom and laundry to allow us to age in place. The project began with several visits by the design crew, Theresa and Chris, who listened carefully to our needs and desires, provided lots of good suggestions, and ultimately produced a detailed plan showing all our choices, including a 3D rendering of how the finished room would look.
The actual construction was guided by lead carpenter Mark Gallo. Mark, in addition to being a very fine craftsman himself, managed the subcontractors’ work on the site. Mark made sure that everyone remembered that they were working in an occupied residence, which we greatly appreciated. The workspace and adjacent hallway were separated from the rest of the house by plastic sheeting to keep dust to a minimum and any escaped dust was vacuumed up at the end of every day.
A bathroom is a complex project requiring the employ of a number of subcontractors: plumbers, electricians, HVAC, outside wall insulators, plasterers, floor and wall tilers. We found that all these subs were excellent at their craft. Scheduling the workdays for these subcontractors and ordering the required materials for their work is a major task for the primary contractor. Jason Smith, back in the office of CDB expertly handled this task and kept the work flowing smoothly. The project was completed in 9 weeks, exactly as estimated.
Our new bathroom, which makes it possible for us to live on one floor, is a joy to behold. We would not hesitate to recommend Chads Design Build to anyone contemplating work in their home.

I would recommend Chads Design Build to friends without hesitation. From beginning to end of the project we received daily updates and always were informed of when the builders, etc. would arrive and what was to be worked on. Communication was excellent. Problems or questions were addressed immediately. The work site was always cleaned up after each day's work. All debris that could be recycled was recycled. The workmanship was excellent and we are well pleased with the results. More than met our expectations. We are already thinking about the next project, bathroom remodel, and will be calling Chads Design Build within a few months.

I would definitely recommend Chads. This was the second major project that Chads has done for us. The first project, a beautiful sunroom addition, I had a solid idea of what we wanted and the Chads team made it even better. The second project was replacing our windows, siding, insulation, and an addition of a front porch. I had a few ideas and knew what I liked but not a solid idea of what I wanted. The design team was able to take all of my disparate likes and ideas and developed a fabulous design. The hardworking and talented build team arrived and completely transformed the exterior of our home. The final results are amazing. It is a beautiful transformation. We love our new porch and get lots of compliments. Thank you team Chads!

Chads Design Build is by far the best company for remodel that I have ever contracted with, from initial contact to the completion of the project. In addition to daily contact, weekly updates including pictures via email and website regarding project status was well maintained. Any questions or concerns were immediately addressed. The quality of workmanship on all aspects of the project is of an extremely high caliber.

From start to finish, everyone I had the pleasure of working with was professional, creative, extremely knowledgeable and organized. This a high caliber team! Definitely recommend. Chad’s designed and remodeled our kitchen, a bedroom, and our back porch. Chad’s also provided renovations in one of our bathrooms. Chad’s also removed cedar shingles, created new front steps and overhang, and put up new siding and window casings. Everything turned out beautifully.

This is our second major remodeling project with Chad’s. They do great work.

I have used Chads Design Build for one major addition to my home and two bathroom remodels. Chad and all members of his team are wonderful people to work with and considerate throughout the process of design and build. They take pride in their workmanship which is outstanding. One might call them perfectionists! Their management of the remodeling process by providing guidance on materials, a calendar of work projections by week and payment schedule helped me get the improvements completed even when I was commuting to work out-of-state on a weekly basis.

We were impressed with the listening by Chad and the entire team. They truly did listen and advocate for us. Even during this time of great challenge (the pandemic), we were able to safely have them work on our home and navigate all the permitting issues and extra challenges of this time. We always felt safe, listened to and worked with as partners. Our lead carpenter was Zack and he was fantastic. Kevin, the project manager, was extremely responsive and has continued to respond and offer insight after the job has been complete. We highly recommend Chad and the entire team.

One key point of the project I needed done is not done. Sound proofing is way off.

His work is excellent. He has done three jobs for us and they have all been excellent

After a catastrophic plumbing failure destroyed our primary bathroom, we needed remodel the bathroom. It was a straightforward project, but with one little twist: a newborn baby in the nursery right across the hall. We decided to go with Chad's because of their sterling reputation not only as a quality design build firm, but also their dedication to environmentally responsible building. Chad clearly outlined the process that they would use to keep all the dust and construction debris outside the house (and away from the baby) and even put together a temporary bathroom for us as we went through the design process. Right from the start of the project, they went above and beyond to ensure things were safe and comfortable for our family. I am happy to report that this trend continued throughout the project- far exceeding my expectations and any previous experiences that I have had with other contractors in the past. Expectations were made clear for both parties right from the start, and we were matched with a Designer (Jody) and Project Manager (Chris) that best fit the design brief that we provided. They did a spectacular job bringing our vision of the bathroom to life. Chad's uses a nifty web portal that allowed us to see everything happen in real time and communicate with everyone involved in the project. From scheduling to budget, it was all there any time we needed to see it- and we had weekly check ins to make sure everything was looking good for us. Once the project got underway, we worked closely with our head carpenter (Josh) to make sure that everything was going smoothly. It was apparent right from the outset that Chad's was dedicated to delivering the exact vision we provided for them. Josh's work was top-notch, and all of the sub-contractors that were brought in absolutely fantastic. Not only did they do great work, but were made aware of our environmental concerns regarding the baby and went out of their way to accommodate. Chad's held the sub-contractors (tiling, electrical, plumbing) to the same standard they hold their staff to and it was incredibly refreshing to see. Not only that, but everything was cleaned and put back in place at the end of every work day- even by the sub-contractors!The project came in on budget and within the timeline we had originally set. Everyone showed up when they said they would and did quality work while they were here. The level of friendliness, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness was well beyond our expectations. We would absolutely use Chad's again for a project and we highly recommend them to our friends and family around the Madison area.
