Here’s 5 Important Reasons To NEVER Use Academy Air
1. BAIT & SWITCH – The salesman quoted me for a 2.5 ton, 15.5 SEER Lennox AC unit, but on the day of installation they arrived with a Coleman.
2. LYING SALESMAN – On Thursday, May 12, 2022, I was told by Brandyn, an employee of Academy Air, that I had to have a full system replacement when only the AC needed to be replaced. This was a deceptive sales gimmick to get me to replace the full system.
3. OVERCHARGED – I was charged $13,755 for a replacement AC system that I did not need. I only needed a new AC unit, but was told I had to replace the furnace also.
4. PREDATORY PRACTICES – To all ladies, and those not experienced with HVAC repairs and replacements DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My twin brother had them replace his AC unit. He was treated equitably, however, I was preyed upon and lied to. I was misled about my AC unit replacement options and overcharged in the process for work that was not required. Do not trust this company!
5. VIOLATED COUNTY BUILDING PERMIT REGULATIONS – I was told by Brandyn that Academy Air would obtain all required permits and inspections. They LIED AGAIN! I called the Building Department only to discover a permit was never obtained for my home, and the company still have not had the work they did at my home inspected, as required in my county. They replaced wiring and never had a permit to do that type of work.
6. UNRESPONSIVE MANAGEMENT – After I learned that I was lied to and coerced into a full system replacement that was not required, I contacted the company and spoke to Brandyn, the original lying salesperson, and his manager, John Siegler, Director of Sales. To date, nothing has been done to resolve these issues despite my repeated calls.
SPARE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION AND RIPOFF!

Their technicians are helpful and they were able to get me scheduled pretty quickly when I called. The job seemed a little expensive but that can be the standard.I didn't have anything to compare it too. Nothing was priced outrageously.

Academy Air is professional, honest, and has reasonable pricing.

They provided a fast, prompt, and courteous service.

I don't appreciate the constant push to spend more.

If this would have been last year, I would have given a 5 stars. But the last person that came, did nothing. He came in said a few things and walked back out. I said "what about the other stuff?". He said, "we dont do that" but they have always done it before. He didn't clean up after his mess. I would rate them a 0.

It seems that there is someone new every time they come out and they have a trainee with them. This causes the service to take longer than needed.

They are awesome. They always call to remind me they are coming out. When they call they let me know who is coming. They always work around my schedule.

I think they were very professional.

My experience with them was less than impressive. I'll never call them again for anything.

The technicians always come out and handle any issues when we call.

Academy Air was very knowledgeable. The representative was very knowledgeable about the service and was very patient with explaining to me what they were going to do within the service. They went step by step. I was freaking out when my system went out. I didn't know what was going on with it. They explained everything to me and what they would do to repair it. I was really impressed with that.

They have always been very responsive when I have called, have taken care of things, and explained everything very well!

We were perfectly satisfied.

I recommended Academy Air to my daughter. They put in a new furnace just yesterday.

He was efficient, on time and he went right to work.

The company was there when we needed them.

Kind of pricey.

The service tech was genuinely concerned with my family after inspecting the home. It wasn't just a random job. He cared about our safety.

They have always provided good service for my mother and myself.

I think they get out there pretty quick. Most companies take about a week to come out but they came within a day or two.

The technicians were clean and neat.

Academy Air offers prompt, courteous service.
