Building with GRB has really made life easier and more enjoyable. From design through construction, the GRB staff has been warm and supportive. The process of building is a challenge, but we could rely on GRB to help guide and get the job done. Most important is the warranty period. Rather than being left being on your own with your new house, the GRB team stands ready to assist from the smallest to the biggest details. If something needs to be corrected, they get it done.

The whole process was honest and upfront and the team knows what they are doing. They were true to their word and schedule through the whole build.

Great communication, timely, friendly and professional.

Our project manager was not easy to work with. His communication was subpar. When asking questions we were treated as if we were an irritation. He was not on site 50% of the time. Many mistakes were made that caused serious delays and inconvenience from lack of communication and absence.


If I had to do this again I am not sure I would pay the extra money to use this company. They promised above and beyond service but we were constantly told how expensive and important other projects were. Maybe if we spent a few million dollars instead of one we would be treated better.

I had a great experience. They did a super job. They addressed all issues. Tom Hamilton did a super job.

I am impressed with the complete "service" that GRB provides. From design choices, product choices, and meetings for discussion, GRB excels. Garry, the foreman for the project, is hands-on. He is here daily to supervise and work. He answers all questions and is responsive to our living situation.

Yes, I would recommend the builder. While there were some schedule delays and instances of miscommunication regarding parts of the construction process, the builder made efforts to address and resolve the issues as best as possible.

Quality work, responsive to my preferences and any concerns, staff was patient with me as I went through the process of deciding how to approach my renovation and some existing characteristics of our house which I did not like.

Golden Rule is a great company to work with. They are attentive and helpful in creating one’s vision and work well with other architects to make one’s vision come to life. Golden Rule came as a recommendation by our architect and in research they came highly recommended by a friend. We would highly recommend Golden Rule to our friends and family and anyone looking to add on or update their home or even new home design.

We used GRB to completely renovate our kitchen. I've been familiar with their excellent reputation for 20 years so I included them when soliciting bids. During the bidding/design process, Jeff Nolte (GRB sales/design), came up with the design we liked best. We ended up giving his suggestion to the other bidding builders. As I expected, GRB was not the lowest bid. But we went with them because we felt that we knew what we were getting. We knew they were going to meet our expectations without any hassles. And they came through 100%. We love the new layout and quality of the materials and workmanship.
