I have worked with many contractors, professionally and in my personal affairs, and have found J. Francis Company and its representatives to be honest and forthright. From executing the construction contract through the midway point in our project I have always known exactly what to expect. If I have any questions I have received prompt attention and the questions have been resolved. There is more work to be done, but I am confident that the job will be completed as agreed and to my satisfaction.
Dave Myers is an excellent contact person. He showed us the reasons why certain repairs were needed and explained in detail the costs and then made sure we were kept abreast of everything being done.
The company provided a good examination of the damage to our house and was able to ascertain exactly the repairs needed. They completed the repair quickly and with good quality.
We were fortunate to sign with J Francis for our project (driveway snowmelt system /concrete/ garage heat/ landscape drainage/ landscape lighting ). Great attention was paid to the engineering of the project, and the orchestration of subs and management of the project was smooth. Dave Myers communicates well. Every phase of the project and every bill was explained clearly to us. It was a pleasure to have the GC on the job site every single day. J. Frances absolutely saved our master bathroom/2nd floor laundry room remodel after a previous contractor had totally botched the work. We purchased a home last May in the Dormont-Mt. Lebanon area that had good bones, but needed a lot of work. I wish we had J. Francis from the very beginning. It would have saved us serious money and a lot of wasted time. In addition to the bath remodel, they went on to rebuild our deck (which had to be completely redone due to the same bad previous contractor), install new hardwood floors in our living room/dining room and re-tile our foyer. From the moment that we contacted them through the entire remodel they have shown an impressive level of professionalism. We strongly recommend their work.
The workmanship of the people that did the job was highly skilled and they were highly competent. We trusted them emphatically and they finished the job earlier than anticipated and they worked very hard to ensure that our home was left in the condition they found it in.

J Francis is a bit on the expensive side but if you don't want to worry about whether your contractor is going to dissapoint you the the money is worth it. My home is part of my family and there is no reason to cut corners when you are dealing with your own home.

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.
Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.
All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).
All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.
In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.
A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.
Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.
