After the first foreman, we went through two or three different foremans on the sight and finally, basically, got thru the basic punchlist, the closing punch list and the 30 day punch list with most stuff being done. But that was two and half months into the whole process.

The production guys that Comstock hired were awesome. But I have a friend that was looking to buy a home and I told her not to come here because the sales guy was so bad. This was before my home was completed. He was terrible. I do think the subs need to see more of a big picture. They seem to only see what they are doing and not how it all comes together.

Casey does not do a good job of talking and explaining things to the customer. This is not the first time I have heard this complaint. Kat, however, was a wonderful person.

The walk through and re-walk through were very extensive. I appreciated the opportunity to examine and inspect each room closely without feeling pressure to move quickly. It definitely made me feel more confident about my purchase. There are still some minor items that need to be followed through but overall that was a positive experience. Although I am thankful for the free TV, I will say that it took a month to receive it and get it installed which was disappointing. In addition, my initial contacts with Penderbrook as far as trying to communicate with the sales staff was not very positive in that it often took several days to hear back from them or not at all. Since there are so many new residents, I would recommend having a newcomers orientation that gives info about Penderbrook, when the condo association meetings are, etc.

Guildmember since 2005

As a GuildQuality Guildmember, Comstock Homebuilding Companies relies on our customer surveying to help them deliver an exceptional customer experience.

We have surveyed customers on behalf of Comstock Homebuilding Companies in Arlington, VA; Sterling, VA; Raleigh, NC; Woodbridge, VA; Fairfax, VA; Leesburg, VA; Cumming, GA; Manassas, VA; Clayton, NC; Suwanee, GA; and 18 other cities in Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina and Maryland.

In this report, Comstock Homebuilding Companies has published a summary of the customer feedback they've received since they joined GuildQuality in November 2005. In that time, 420 out of 846 customers (50%) responded to a GuildQuality satisfaction survey, with the most recent response in July 2007.

About GuildQuality and our Guildmembers

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.

Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.

All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).

Surveys, Comments and Reviews

All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.

In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.

A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.

Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.

Important Information about choosing a Builder, Remodeler, or Contractor

It is important to note that GuildQuality does not endorse the qualifications of any company. We make no predictions, warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, about the quality of any work a company on this website may provide. GuildQuality does not accept any liability whatsoever for any harm that might result from any statements presented on this website.

Prospective customers should weigh a multitude of factors when choosing the right building company, and never depend on a single source when making their decision to purchase a home or hire a contractor.
