I did some research on what similar projects cost in Clackamas County and the cost was competitive. When we committed to the project they communicated the steps and had leadership I could directly contact with questions. On the install the team was professional, clean, and respectful. During the final steps of the process they helped ensure everything was on point and ready to go for inspections as well as making sure we had all the paperwork we needed to receive the tax incentive. This company did a great job and I would encourage anyone in the area to look at using Sunward as they are a local company taking care of local customers.

Chris and Rebecca Middlebrooks at Sunward Power were the only company in September of last year that could guarantee they could get us done before December so that we would not lose the 30% federal tax credit. Not only did they get it done, but they got it done three weeks ahead of schedule. The process was flawless. Their communication was excellent, and their pricing was as competitive as could be. I was denied twice by other solar power companies. Out house was built in the early 1940's. They said it wasn't structurally sound enough. I talked with Chris at Sunward Power. He arranged for a contractor to look at our roof supports. We had him install some extra supports which gave the city engineer confidence that all would go well. The install of solar panels went very well. The crew from Sunward Power were all very friendly and helpful. We also invested in a battery to store power from the solar. Our bill went from $135/month to $18/month. Our roof wasn't big enough for all the panels we would have wanted. We will still have to pay PGE for power but at a significantly lower rate. Plus the battery allows us to use power during the lower rate hours. It is a win-win.

I already recommended Sunward to my manager at work. I appreciate that they managed all the energy trust incentives, city permits, subcontractors, structural modification, and install. All I had to do was share my preferences for the approach. I also appreciated that their cost per installed kW was the best on offer of the quotes I received. I would be happy to work with Sunward again but I might not need to since these panels should last ~30 years.
