The soccer skills class was just running the gym and kicking the ball on teams. I thought it would be teaching the kids skills and learning. Very disappointing with what the class name was.

I highly recommend Shelton YMCA swim lessons to everyone I know, the teachers are patient, kind, knowledgeable, and effective. I feel very safe when my children are in the Shelton YMCA pool. I also highly recommend the basketball program for youth, I’m really impressed how the staff work with youth on so many different levels simultaneously. I hesitate slightly to recommend the jiu-jitsu programs my child is enrolled in, when I do recommend them to friends I let them know that my child is usually happy in the program, but that the lead instructor is a person who is does not demonstrate real understanding or capacity to instruct issues around fair fighting, consent, respect, the ethics of martial arts.

We love pokemon club! My son looks forward to it all week. The club now is pretty great, but he enjoyed it more when there was more active games in the larger room. Since they moved into the smaller room and cannot play the fun more active running games he has not enjoyed as much. The only feedback would be to be able to move back into the bigger room. It seems to be empty during the pokemon timeframe so it's a bit confusing why its been pushed into the small room. Other than that he very much enjoys it.
