The techs were professional, friendly and informative. I didn't have issues interacting with them when they came to check the moisture levels and give updates. However, when they did the initial tear out of the water damaged areas they messed up our water purifier (Rytech sent their plumber out and fixed it, so that was handled adequately), there is a crack in our countertop that was removed and placed to the side, and the facing of our oven and handle on the oven door are damaged from the way they moved it. The fans ran for 4 weeks. We were told they would "tent" the area to speed up the drying process and that was never done. We have a family member who works in this industry who said that should have been done almost immediately and 4 weeks was way too long for the drying process without trying something different. After the ice storm weekend, we understood not hearing from a tech during the Saturday to Tuesday most everything was shut down, but that Wed - Fri after roads had cleared up we still didn't hear from anyone until I contacted a tech to find out if we could turn the fans off. Someone came out that day and took readings and left the fans on. They stayed on over another weekend and were removed the next Monday. Bottom line: The people were good to work with and the work they came to do got done, but it took longer than it should have and we incurred property damage along the way.
On time, competent and courteous
Came promptly and did great work
I was extremely pleased with Devon's timeliness and communication
More attention to detail with care and when pulling the baseboards from the wall bc some places were left with lots of nails, wood, few holes in wall and pieces of the plaster that goes behind the baseboards/trimmings which is part of the framed designs on the wall from the front door thru the dining room & ends before entering the LR.
No one wore shoes covers and bringing in equipment broke a threshold inside the basement.
The whole dryout process took too long and cost me too much money in increased electrical costs. My bill doubled the month it took them to dryout my house. And none of the people checking the process daily seemed to do it the same. The damaged caused by the demo required both bathrooms to be completely tore down and I’m still not back in my house. The kids and I are still sleeping in a hotel room 4 going on 5 months now.
A bit more aware of the surroundings when tearing things out. More things were damaged that now have to be replaced while tearing out the flooring.
The dry out area under the house was not tented in. My contractor found the issue a week after the fans were installed. He co texted RyTech to get the tenting put in. The lack of tenting meant it took much longer to dry out than it should have taken.
They were very aggressive when they wanted to do something and could never really work around the customer's timeline.
We were told by Alec at Rytech that Liz Moser at their company would provide a list and photos of damaged personal property for us and our insurance company, but USAA claims they didn't receive anything and that, "sometimes they send lists and sometimes they don't." It was never explained to me how that was supposed to work, and I don't think Liz Moser and the adjuster ever connected.
They are the best company they do what needs to be done and no more
Did their job as insurance instructed.
KJ and Tyler were super awesome. They were very nice and patient with my questions and I appreciated that.
Everyone from the company was polite and informative. They told me exactly what they were going to do.
Very good overall experience in every aspect of a professional company! Highly recommended!
The insurance company sent Rytech.
