From the beginning there were major issues. May2025 The deck was built 6 inches too far to the West. Which would have overlapped an existing window on the house. They had to have the deck torn down and the piers moved 6 inches to the East and rebuild the whole thing. The original deck was not covered, so the insulation got soaked. So it would have had to be taken apart and dried out and new insulation anyway. The building inspector stated wrong screws were used and the plywood was not placed correctly either. The 4 seasons room floor , was supposed to be flush with the kitchen where it was being added onto. It is not. It's 1 1\2 inches lower. Now It will be a permanent tripping hazard.
Due to the whole structure being lower than it should have been, the roof line ended up being an issue as well. The West side overhang was cut 6 inches short so it wouldnt interfere with the existing kitchen window. So one side has a normal 12 inch overhang, the other is 6 inches shorter, so that looks dumb.
Also affected was the whole gutter system on the back of the house ,which was severely compromised. This took several corrections and many months to get resolved to an acceptable fix. Feb 2026 finally. The last two gentlemen who came, seemed to actually know what needed to be done and so far appears they knew how to do it as well. Quite refreshing for a change.
Along with that, the roof itself ended up being removed and replaced as it was not done correctly the first time. There was water dripping from many spots of the center beam in the ceiling. We constantly had towels lined up under that beam.I
Speaking of the beam, the electric had to be run on the outside of the ceiling beam as it wasn't put up so the electric could be placed under the caps or however they do that, so that looks dumb as well.
We were at the point where if we could have afforded it, we would have just torn the whole thing down and tried to find a regular construction company to rebuild it.
We were told it would take 3-4 weeks from start to finish. It took from May 2025 until Feb 2026 to get all of the issues taken care of. I'm not gonna say resolved because it hasn't gotten cold enough again to see if the same issues arise.
We signed a contract for/purchased a 4 Seasons room, which was SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than a 3 seasons room. What we really got was a 3 seasons room. We were told you probably won't even need to heat it or cool it, "it will maintain the temperature". Which it does do, if you want the temp inside to be the same as the temp outside!
It got so bad in this room, all of the electric was compromised due to the ice build up, 3 feet high on every vertical where the electric is run. Had to have the electrician come as the power went out in the entire room. He replaced a couple outlets, but stated it would most likely short out again due to the amount of ice and condensation in those verticals. Suggested a dehumidifier as well. So we were running a minisplit system, extra space heaters and a dehumidifier to try to keep the electric from shorting out again.
In Feb 26, insulation was placed in those verticals. But it also hasn't gotten that cold again. So not sure how that will work out.
Besides the random work schedule of the workers, the two guys themselves were nice, albeit pretty messy. But they would show up whenever, could be 7am or 11 am.. Then work til 9 pm. Not appreciated.
When we were finally able to move furniture into the room, as I was cleaning windows and walls, I noticed many channels on the knee walls were missing the trim pieces. This took months to get resolved. Finally have them all placed in Feb 2026. We are hoping this keeps some of the bugs from getting in?! We literally purchased a hand held vacuum to suck them up as there were tons of them everyday. We are not sure how they are getting in yet.
When we were talking with Chase, who sold us the room, he stated someone would be contacting us soon and we would have so much communication from Patio Enclosures.
This we found to be totally and completely inaccurate.
Emails would go unanswered for days and sometimes weeks. Issues were not addressed timely, didn't even see a project manager personally until Jan 2026. That was after months of complaints about the gutters and other issues.
I have a notebook with the daily happenings of this project, as well as
Email trails from the start and tons of pictures.
The room was embarrassingly expensive for what we got. It was supposed to be a nice comfortable clean and usable FOUR Seasons room.
What we have, is basically a glorified 3 season room, that gets iced up in winter and filled with bugs in the warmer months. We already have an enclosed room like that.
At this point, we really don't feel it was a good choice to go with Patio Enclosures and would not recommend them to other people.
It took 11 months to complete. My doors and windows all had to be reordered multiple times. More than once appointments were cancelled. In the end, I am not getting a storm door that was in the contract I signed. It is costing me an additional $1300 to get one.
No, never.
Very poor communications
There is nothing that can be done to change what I experienced during the time it took to complete the project that consisted glassing in two small screen rooms. The problems I encountered were NOT the fault of your "worker bees", nor was it a problem with the product it's self. The problem seems to be the way the company is structured and run. It is as though the company has structured itself to hide from their customers. I never seemed to be able to contact the right person. When the first set of windows for room number 1 was delivered. 1 knee window was taller than the others. It was decided that we would install it but not seal that section so it could be easily removed after being being reordered. In order to make it easy on the company, and save them a trip, we would reorder the knee window and have it shipped with the windows for room 2. Unfortunately, it was not shipped with the windows for room 2. In fact, the windows for room 2 arrived but had been constructed without any transom windows and the sliding door was built to open the wrong way. All of which had to be replaced. They reordered the replacements for room 2 and again reordered the replacement for the knee window in room1. When they received the replacement windows for room 2, they were fine, but the replacement knee window for room 1 was framed in the wrong color and had to be re ordered. It was reordered and when it arrived it was the correct color and proper height, but it was much too smalls (by half) the length. At that point I decided to have them seal the section of window in room one and call it good. My project is now complete, but with one knee window that is a littler taller that the others. My wife and I and Tom, the installer, are probably the only ones who notice the taller knee window. Other that that the project pleases us. The entire fiasco took almost a year to complete. Tom's workmanship, professionalism, and patience was without fault. But the company's coordination was not something I could recommend to a friend.
Love mine! Excellent quality!
We had our patio finished in 2024 had issues with some screens had creases in them handles put on uneven had appointment they never showed May 2025 I called for appointment said be out no show again called again still haven't heard hopefully we can resolve soon.
We are still waiting on followup work.
Communication of installation was poorly coordinated. Salesman’s computer rendering ended up not being the same as finalized product installed. We like installed unit better than his illustration.
