I was charged $6500 against my will for a CAD drawing after I signed a locked in contract. They only refunded me $3000 of that money and I was forced to pay an additional $3500 over and above my agreed to contract. Three of the people that were involved in my original sales were terminated within four months of the sales contract after making promises that could not be fulfilled. It took over 12 weeks after the contract was signed to be submitted to my village to get approved for some reason. Not once did I ever receive apologies for anything that was delayed or they couldn’t explain. The entire process took a ridiculous 5+ months when it was supposed to take approximately 90 days. No one ever communicated to me ever along the way and I was always the one that had to send emails asking what the holdup was and to ask for explanations. I was always left in the dark repeatedly and nobody ever returned my emails unless I sent secondary emails to them.
While the structural quality of the patio itself is excellent, the communication, scheduling, and professionalism of this contractor require major improvement.
We were originally informed that the project would begin on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 7th, and run through Saturday, October 10th. However, the actual timeline was highly erratic:
Wednesday: No-show.
Thursday: Arrived late at 11:30 AM and left early at 3:30 PM.
Friday: Arrived at 11:30 AM and left at 5:30 PM.
Saturday: Arrived at 11:25 AM and departed after only 40 minutes at 12:05 PM.
When the crew returned on Monday, the contractor got into an unprofessional verbal dispute with my wife and abruptly walked off the job site. After contacting Chris, we were incredibly disappointed to be told that my wife "should be nice" to the contractor, rather than addressing the crew's behavior.
The contractor did eventually return to continue the work, and Josh came back later to finish up a few items. However, the job remains incomplete. We are still actively waiting for the installation of the correct-length gutter and the replacement window to fully close out this project.
Looks great. Easy process.
Quality and craftmanship was excellent. However, there is a semantic problem. When the contract said floor I was under the impression that it included tiles. They failed. The steps are made of wood. I was under the impression it was to be made with concrete. If anyone hires this company, make sure you read the entire contract first.
Excellent product, company has decades of experience & it shows.
Great service and the job was done right!
Great, professional and friendly crew all around! We are extremely game with our patio enclosure!
There is an issue with the lock feature on my screen door. I have left messages and no one has returned my call
All the people were great to deal with polite, professional and very respectful.
Employees helpful and knowledgeable
The team approach was perfect for implementing a "complex" change to an existing deck.
Q yes, stated below in my primary reason unless Great Day can show that bringing everything in house, has brought their operation up to the high-quality of their products. It would be very difficult to recommend Great Day as the installation company. Early on, I tried to communicate with the corporate office multiple times. I left messages and received no response.
I wrote a letter to the CEO and again no response. I believe the letter was never forwarded to anyone other than the people in the local office.
Everything was done in a day, came on time and worked all day
Multiple failures on measurements. Multiple miscommunications. Poor customer service. Product never completed correctly.
Professional assistance from start to finish
The salesman was very knowledgeable about the product. He brought samples to show the materials and colors also the handles and door and window functions. His computer was able to measure the area and then show a picture of how it would look.
The salesman worked with his supervisor to give us the best deal and was able to provide financing so we could get the process started that day.
The materials were ordered and arrived within several weeks at which time they scheduled the install.
The installer was able perform the work over the course of two days, he skillfully assembled the unit resulting in a beautiful sunroom. When he finished he cleaned up and left the area looking like it had been.
Great job!
Thank you
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the outcome
Over promised, under delivered.
My frustration with how this patio enclosure project has been handled.
In November 2025, the team began installation. At that time, we had been assured the enclosure would be completed before Thanksgiving. A few pieces were installed (incorrectly), and the crew left without clearly communicating what was happening. After we contacted the office, they told us the pieces they had were the incorrect size. So they could not finish the installation. They were either manufactured incorrectly or their measurements were incorrect.
Three and a half months later, I was contacted by Becky and she told us installation could resume on Friday 2/27. We agreed. However, no one informed us that one of the windows was missing and not even on the truck from the factory. We had partially completed enclosure, and I am being told it will be a minimum of three more weeks before the missing component arrives.
This project has been significantly over-promised and under-delivered. The lack of communication, incorrect measurements, and incomplete delivery are unacceptable. We have been extremely patient, but this situation needs immediate attention.
The sales person Kim Ciolkosz was very kind she explained it to us in a way we can understand very clearly
Incredibly disorganized. Call backs not timely. First installer ruined our yard by parking on it; second installer never showed, then showed up late when he did show and then dogged the job on his phone in my driveway after he’d finished our job to avoid having going onto the second job, I’d assume, as we were waiting for him to leave so we could get on with other affairs we had that day. The secretary that handled our account quit mid job. The person who was in charge of our job after it was finished was inundated with the aftermath the installer left in our yard, scheduling, payment and everything else possible. He was difficult to get a hold of and couldn’t keep up with what the company was expecting of him. The day before Thanksgiving he called us to see if “we had received our dirt and seed pallet from Lowe’s” and I told him under no circumstances would we be receiving ANYTHING in the mushy snow and that NO-we did not have room to store a pallet in our new garage. (?) he cancelled the order. I have yet to receive a photo he promised of our pallet stored somewhere (?) dry in a warehouse with a tarp on it-that he said he was forced to order and hold in a warehouse-despite our concerns of it possibly getting wet and growing mold-in order to close out our account for year end. It was like being in a comedy of errors. We are 35 year patio enclosure customers and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone again.
Always available and able answer our questions.
You didn’t arrive on multiple scheduled date, you didn’t bring materials you needed, you didn’t know how to install the blinds, you placed the wrong order and forgot to include part of the order, it took 6 months from the time I ordered the blinds until they were finally in. Also, I continuously had to call multiple times until I got a response.
We are especially pleased with the communication with the designer, how she dealt with our HOA and the install was in One day!
Everyone has been very helpful and has kept me informed throughout the process
Started with not getting our order correct, misrepresenting what we were ordering, consistently not arriving on scheduled days, not returning my calls, not bringing blinds and installers having to leave, not knowing how to install blinds, constant delays, after 5 months the blinds are still not completely up.
