I moved to Chattanooga from Texas and was clueless about interior design. The design process at Michelle Workman began with what amounted to Rorschah tests on a hundred or so fabrics followed by an examination of my inner feelings toward various sofas, chairs, and tables. I was going to be involved, like it or not. It was obvious from the start that Michelle and her team were very detailed and focused on my project. Their enthusiasm only increased when it was apparent that my personal tastes were not so drab and conservative as my age and appearance may have suggested. So they were given a green light as much as possible which I recommend. I have been very pleased with the results. I have lots of color, gorgeous fabrics and places made for the art and other items that came from my previous home. Some of it seems a little crazy like the light fixture in the kitchen which resembles a UFO and the rather loud green, red and blue headboard in the bedroom, but I did pick them out. I said I didn't want boring and they were happy to oblige. I would also mention the mostly excellent contractors (and the one she fired who wasn't), the attention to detail and the little things like the flowers she brought over before the first dinner party. I give them an A+.

Michelle Workman is one of the Most Talented & Top Interior Designers in the USA! I had the honor to work with her on a Bel Air Project. The quality of her art is just amazing. She knows how to put the colors & hues in perspective in any dimensions together so your home & the context of your project will look absolutely beyond classy & enjoyable for years! She is very hard working & generous in her dedication to every detail as well as having a caring & super Kind personality! If I could give her 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat!

Michelle is top-notch. Her taste is impeccable; her designs glamorous and insouciant. She has taught me the difference it makes to live in a beautiful space -- and now I can't have it any other way. If you want to be surrounded by beauty and joy, hire her! She has designed several homes for our family -- projects which include: bringing out inherited family furniture from Connecticut and reimagining it for a loft in West Hollywood; combining my bright, pattern-heavy instincts with my husband's preference for white everything when we moved in together; and creating a new home for my mother in California, after 40 years of living on the East Coast. She can do it all!

Michelle transformed two rooms in my home into unique and beautiful jewel boxes! I love everything about them. She is a complete pleasure to work with. Her designs are imaginative & full of whimsy while still paying attention to functional practicalities. She’s a great listener and a fabulous designer!

Michelle’s new showroom downtown is an absolute delight. Her creativity and innovative and extensive fabric selection and suggestions supported my own ideas for upholstery and and other soft furnishings. Over the years she and her team have also created wonderful spaces in my previous home and the beautiful estate of a friend, which I had the pleasure to tour. Her attention to detail, color selections and use of the most beautiful fabrics sets her apart. She and her team are also very friendly and accommodating. It’s a pleasure to work with them.

We absolutely loved working with Michelle Workman and her amazing team. Their eye for details are unparalleled and helped us re-envision our 1936 home on Lookout Mountain, TN to stay true to its unique character. I simply would not have thought of all the wonderful fabrics, colors, wallpaper & textures that they put together for us- by room. Each room has its own style, yet it all ended up being so cohesive and polished looking. Our home is an absolute stunner! WWMWD is our new favorite quote: "What Would Michelle Workman Do"? Michelle and her team took our space from a dark room to a light and comfortable space. I have to admit at times I tried to resist their advance but in the end we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Our only regret is we couldn't do the whole house with them. They are great to work with because they listen so well.
