We are ecstatic with our Redo Cabinets and all of the employees that were part of our “new kitchen”. Justin helped to explain things in a way that we understood the product, the process and what their procedure would be for us. Angel was the expert in measuring all 52 cabinets and drawers. George was the absolute best craftsman anyone could hope to have in their home. He was courteous, on time, worked the whole day, cleaned up as he went, and was fussy as well as meticulous. Kristina, in production, keep us in the loop, honored all requests and made sure we were always happy. We needed one cabinet door to open a bit wider and Vito came out quickly to make that happen on a matter of seconds. Not only are we thrilled with the end result, but all the people involved made the process pleasurable.

Have yet to receive my statement via mail, not email showing all work complete and all payments have been paid in full ! have never received receipt from installers whom collected my payments because they don't give receipts. These payments are not small and I am paying their tech Thousands of dollars and no receipt. Also what about a final inspection by the company after work has been completed by a company representative. Would like ad phone # or email address to someone of importance within this company that I could air my feelings with..

The advertised "special" : Free counter tops... was really misleading. It implies that ALL the counter top- regardless of footage is free when in fact it was actual a "special" for 1st 25' of countertop was free which the sales person explained during initial discussions. So I would tell friends good value & vendor service, however- carefully read fine print since what they advertise as "free" more then likely is only partially free.

Communications and follow through could be better. Never received an itemized bill with a breakdown of the costs and discounts. I asked for this repeatedly and was told that I would receive this.

I’m on the fence about a recommendation because all of the other hiccups we experienced. While I’m pleased with the look of the kitchen it doesn’t outweigh my experience.

Restoration of cabinets

I actually think the quality is good and they were very quick to fix the discrepancies we have, so it's a good thing.

Redo Cabinets did a great job. The material of the cabinets are durable and easy to maintain as far as cleaning.

If you're considering cabinet refacing, take the time to do your homework before the in-home sales appointment. Redo offers a significant same-day discount — but it’s only available during that first visit. To feel confident in your decision, we recommend visiting their showroom in St. Charles or the newer location in Wood Dale to get a better sense of the materials and finishes.

**2. Is Refacing Right for You?**
If your cabinet boxes and drawers are structurally sound and you're happy with your current kitchen layout, refacing is a great (though not inexpensive) option. It gives your kitchen a fresh look without the mess and cost of a full remodel.

**3. Be Proactive with Communication**
Once you've signed your contract, be prepared to initiate communication with the project team. While they were always responsive when we reached out, most of the follow-up came from our side. A bit more proactive outreach from the company would improve the experience.

**4. Smooth Coordination During Installation**
Scheduling was efficient. The countertops and plumbing were well-coordinated, so we were only without a functioning sink for about a day and a half. After that, Redo’s cabinet installer took over — in our case, the installation took four days.

**5. Great Work by the Installer**
If George is representative of the rest of Redo’s install team, you’re in excellent hands. He was professional, meticulous, and clearly takes pride in his work.

**Pro Tip:** Before installation day, clear as much space as possible. If you can, remove drawers and cabinet doors ahead of time — this gave George a head start and helped speed up the process.

I recommend using Redo for your refacing project. Steve answered all our questions prior to signing, Joann was the friendly voice in the office and the aforementioned George was a great installer.

I liked Andy Baxter, who did the installation and did an excellent job, and Joanne, who was in customer service, was excellent and answered all my questions.

The quality and finished work on the cabinets, countertops and backsplash exceeded my expectations. All of the installers were knowledgeable, timely and professional.

I think it was very expensive, 19K for just replacing door and drawer fronts, nothing more. Beyond the 3 day cancellation, 2 or 3 days, they wanted $6700 to cancel the work even though they hadn’t measured or ordered or cut any material.

Their cleanup was minimal. We had to wash down shelves and vacuum construction dust from the sliders etc
