Great lakes was top notch from start to finish. They waited for us to get financing squared away. Then started with a verbal that financing was in place.
The crew unloaded the delivery truck when the boom failed and hauled the bundles of shingles up a latter.

The roofing company that did the roof was really good, really considerate, cleaned up really well, and took their time not to mess up any of the flowers we had around the house. They did a really good job.

Cost may not be the best.

When we signed the paperwork, we were told payments would not start until mid-September. The I get a notice that a payment is due in 3 weeks (beginning of July). Would’ve been nice to not get lied to about something this trivial. Meet gave me his direct number, but NEVER answered or returned calls. I got a hold of the field manager (?), his name is Keith and he was good to talk to.

Happy 50th birthday to our house today. Our roof still has the original plywood and two layers of fiberglass shingles. The top layer was completed in 1999. We were contacted by Great Lakes Home Remodeling and they came out and gave us a free estimate. Jason Rider was so knowledgeable and well spoken for a young man in his mid 20’s. My wife and I were so impressed. Jason went up into the attic and found out that the original plywood was wet and moldy inside the attic. This was due to neglect on my part to inspect the attic and roofing shingles more frequently. We contracted Great Lakes Home Remodeling to tear off the two layers of shingles as well as the plywood sheathing and replace them with new sheathing and GAF HDZ fiberglass shingles. In fact, all of the product used for my job was GAF branded. This enabled me to get a special lifetime warranty. The five-man crew (Angel's Crew) showed up at 7:15 am and had the entire job done by 5 pm the same day. They were all business and some of the hardest and most focused workers I have ever seen. I cannot say enough good things about them. They worked non-stop, in perfect harmony, and focused 100% on the job at hand. They had a cool hydraulic dumpster that they could drive up close to the house and then raise and lower it for easier removal. When it was full, they would drive it over to the 50 yard dumpster in my driveway and then automatically dump it with the hydraulic lift. This thing was a game changer as far as efficiency and ease of removing material from the roof. The roofers seemed so comfortable running around on the roof as if they were only inches from the ground. Angel’s crew took the time to remove my gutter guard, clean the gutters and then reinstall the gutter guard after the roof installation was completed They spent the last hour scouring the surrounding area for debris and nails and really did a perfect job cleaning up. I never found a nail anywhere. We are so pleased with their performance and highly recommend them to anyone. I recently put a temperature sensor in the attic so I could monitor temperatures from morning throughout the day and into the evening. I can see all this information on my phone and I can tell you with this Cobra intake pro venting and the ridge vent, my attic breathes beautifully now. They are good guys. They were nice to me, and when I asked them to look at something, they came straight away and fixed it the next day.

The finished product looks great. The salesmen that sold us on the product promised an immaculate cleanup and pictures of the work as it was being done. We got neither.

I think that they are highly professional throughout the process, during the sales, to the measuring and to the installation, and they were also not pushy when they came out for the sales, so I would highly recommend them.

Quick clean job

They provide great quality work. They were professional and clean. They showed me everything that was done and repaired.

The Great Lakes staff is amazing. The install manager Devin was great to work with. The install team did a high quality job. Elizabeth was very helpful in getting me all required documentation.

Everyone was very responsive and friendly.

Still finding dozens of nails around the house and around the driveway, plastic strips and bundle plastic around the yard and blown into the brush along the creek in back of the fence. We have dogs and kids who play out in the yard, therefore it’s a significant issue. Cigarette butts left wherever they were tossed until we mentioned it, and I’m still finding those after they were supposedly picked up. There are no smokers here. Haven’t heard from the sales rep since signing, which was promised but not surprisingly not delivered upon. Provided the roof doesn’t leak, that would be the one aspect of installation and service we felt was delivered upon.

We have a slight problem. I'm visually impaired, and my brother said they didn't do anything to the back of the house. I don't know if that's true or not; I heard them on the roof in the back of the house. I'm praying they do the right thing by me. I would say, from what I know, I would give them a 5, but I'm not sure if they totally redid the whole roof.

Had my garage roof replaced. Nothing but good thing to say. Communication was great, everything happened on time, and not only did they get the work done quick and clean, it came with a 50 year guarantee, and it was not just replaced, it was improved. 10\10, would recommend.

Everyone was very professional and easy to work with from going over our options to the installation everything went very smoothly even with the complications of getting everything to the islands and our limited availability.
