Energy solutions was very professional and communicated well, they were always prompt for scheduled meetings and installation. The only issue was that shortly before the installation date they informed me that they couldn’t get the panels that were originally quoted and needed to switch to a different/more expensive panel.
They honored the original price, but the total output was a little less and the panels were a poorer fit for my roof. In their defense there was a shortage of panels due to the rush that resulted from the tax credit deadline. It would have been nice to have had a bit more notice so that more options could have been explored without losing my scheduled installation date.

I think things went pretty smoothly with the installation, with the exception of a pretty significant wiring mistake that fried some of our household appliances and lights. So that was a major inconvenience. Energy Solutions was very good about making good on the damages they caused, and in the end I'm quite happy with the installation.

Energy Solutions did a good job installing my Ford EV charger, so we asked for a bid for a solar and storage solution. I liked that they are an established local firm, their people seemed knowledgeable and efficient and the bid seemed reasonable. The work took two days and the system was professionally installed. It is working well and is easy to monitor and adjust via the Enphase app. I have already recommended them to three friends and neighbors.

I got bids from 5–6 different companies. Energy Solutions was head and shoulders above the rest, both in thoroughness and price.

I got bids from three companies and chose Energy Solutions for their competitive pricing, small dedicated team, and reputation for high quality workmanship. Their initial proposal was thousands of dollars less than those from the other two companies for basically the same size system and components. Their communication was direct and honest and they kept to their word and schedule. All in all very professional and to the point - I never felt like I was dealing with pushy salespeople but dedicated solar designers/engineers. Their installation was efficient and beautifully designed.

From the beginning of the process of evaluating potential providers, Energy Solutions was the most responsive and the most informative. A representative came out right away to evaluate the property to prepare an estimate and took the time to give me an education about residential solar generation ad financing. I used the estimate and education to decide on a design and to compare estimates.

Energy Solutions was easy to work with, communicative and got the work done within a pretty quick window. I liked the ability to choose the panels that were installed as well as have some input on where they were located. They answered my technical questions up front and were clear on the timeline. We are very happy with the total Energy Solutions experience. The product is working well. The employees wewre always professional and rescectfull of our time and concerns. Before I retired, I was the one that was always paired up with the new younger hires. I was not the best to teach them the finer technology. I was paired up with them to teach and demonstrate overall ethics, work ethics, respect for the work we did, our company, our clients and the homeowners we dealt with. The Energy Solutions work team was a person short as tthat worker had a wedding to attend. The supervisor replaced them by getting on the roof himself. I was building a side yard fence that day so I could overhear the workers cross-talk all day. I over heard the supervisor talking to one of the workers and explaining that: "Even if it takes longer and might be harder to do, we don't take shortcuts.
We always do things the right way. When we finish a job we always want to walk away having done a good job". It sounded a lot like the dicussions that I used to have with newer workers.

I was initially very pleased with the sales process and how quickly Energy Solutions was able to install my solar electric system. I had started recommending the company to people I knew. However, a couple of issues have come up since the installation. The first issue turned out to be unrelated to their work, and I felt badly that someone had come out to diagnose the problem, only to determine that it was not a function of their electrical work. The second issue (knocking noises that I can hear many times during the day and night) is still unresolved. I believe the noise is coming from the solar electric system, but I cannot verify as I am unable to get up on the roof to determine whether the solar electric system parts are causing the knocking sound. The owner seems very annoyed, as if I am a nuisance to him, which makes me very uncomfortable having to deal with him. I have been corresponding with him via email, and my general experience is that it takes him several days to respond or I have to message him multiple times to get a response, that he schedules visits sometimes with little notice, and that he was very irritated when I wanted to reschedule. The owner did send two different people at two different times to investigate, but I have not heard from him since the second person's visit, nor did he respond to my recent email message. So, on the whole, while my system is working and the installation seemed to go smoothly, the follow-up service and interaction with the owner has been less than stellar.

Never have had a contractor do any work for us in the past. Felt uninformed often and things I thought would be normal practice (telling me they were here and done for the day since work site was away from dwelling…), weren’t. But that is probably just because of my inexperience. I was not ‘wowed’ by any part of this process. Felt more informed by the power company and their side of the process. At various stages I asked questions/concerns and was redirected to a different person. Confusing to navigate who to talk to at what phase or with what question. Already had determined to do solar before asking for an estimate. I didn’t need a sales pitch in the estimate. Just needed the facts/numbers and I could go from there to determine if it was a good choice for us long term.

Energy Solutions installed a rooftop 18 panel array for us in late January. As Spring 2023 begins, our net electric bill has decreased from about $100 to $15, despite lots of cloudy weather, and we anticipate being a net producer next month.
We are very satisfied with Energy Solutions from initial quote through installation. They accurately described all the steps through project completion including project approvals, which they helped coordinated. Also they were easy to communicate with.

We also met with several other companies and received other quotes, however we selected Energy Solutions based on price and their proposed system features. For instance one of Energy Solutions proposed systems was sized at 133% of our previous annual usage, which we liked. Some other companies raised approval uncertainty for a system sized at more that 100% of our previous annual usage, which proved inaccurate. (I directly contacted our local utility and found there was no such system size limitation, which raised a credibility concern about those companies.)

Energy Solutions also works with Energysage, a larger company that facilitates contact with local, qualified installers and helps provide a consistent format between multiple company's project cost and features. Energy Solutions was among their highest rated companies.

If my Mom needed a solar install, I'd call these guys. They used same products quoted by other contractors and were cheaper. This is getting to be a commodity business, I heavily relied on the positive comments of neighbors who used Energy Solutions in the past.

The willingness of Energy Solutions to do more on-site inspections before we committed to a contract made the difference. We appreciated that Energy Solutions provided us early on with an overview of the schedule and how the process would work.

From start to finish, Energy Solutions was very helpful in answering my questions and providing insight throughout the bid, installation, and setup process. It took a couple weeks to get everything calibrated after the installation and the power company put in a new meter, but Energy Solutions came out to ensure everything was working as intended, and it has been flawless for the last 3 months since!
