Really liked Phil on his initial visit. However, then he started to disappoint after we signed the contract. He comes back and tells us he misquoted the skylights and needed to charge more. He’d only charged us for 1 not 3. I then showed him the competitors estimate which he’d matched. It was for 3 skylights, not just 1 so he forged it out and the initial estimate from Phil was honored.

While the roof was being installed, we were told the skylights were not in. They would be in the following Thursday and installed on Friday. We had scheduled the job seven weeks out so we couldn’t figure out why the skylights were not being installed at the time of the roofing job. Reached out to Phil to see what happened. Why wasn’t the job being completed at the same time? He said it was a communication error.

We get an invoice for the job once the roof is completed. The job was not completed.

The skylights were not installed the following Friday. Nobody reached out. We had to reach back out to figure out what was happening with the skylights. Where were they and when were they gonna be installed? I wasn’t paying an invoice until the job was completed. Skylights were installed June 2nd.

The job got done but didn’t go smoothly.

Phil was easy to work with, The crew arrived on time. Most communication was straight forward but there were a few hiccups in the beginning. Cleaned up daily. Got the job done on time even when it looked like they might not. Would highly recommend.

The total experience was made easy and I am very pleased with their work.

EXCELLENT WORK - Phil patiently explained the roofing process, always responded to my text inquiries before & during work, made a reasonable bid, and w/i a few weeks the job was scheduled and completed. I waited 2wks and had them return to do my gutters too! This was a big & messy reroof- many tiles were already broken & roof was partially covered w a plastic tarp- I had them completely strip the old Spanish tile and replace w architectural shingles- wow made my place look great!!!

They came back promptly to fix the shoddy work on the numerous nails/shredded plywood underside of my patio roof

We were disappointed from the day the project began! There was food trash left, project trash everywhere, on my lawn, in the driveway, in the pool. I’m still finding clear tape, roofing nails and plastic blue circles everywhere. The paint they used to touch up pieces doesn’t match, they missed touch up spots altogether. Even after they had to return, it seemed there was zero attention to detail and no one cared for my house or property! $30k doesn’t come easy for us and $500 off for so much lack of respect for our home doesn’t come close to making me feel good about this project or your company! Now I’m getting upset all over again. Almost everything that could go wrong on this project went wrong and even though Phil tried really hard to smooth things over, I don’t feel good about giving your company money. I could go on and on and I’m very surprised you would even ask me to review you. You are lucky I haven’t filed with the BBB yet.

Overall the job, crew and price were all excellent. Just slight inconvenience of having lots of supplies left 'neatly' around in my front yard after job was done -- but there was also a delay in billing so I guess a trade off. Also, again a small thing, the TV dish I asked they disconnect and take away, sat on my roof disconnected for weeks, even after an email and a call asking they take it away. Small things, in the big picture the quality of work was excellent.

They put a hatch on my roof that is hydraulically lifted and provided a space on the roof so that I could sit up there at night and look at the stars. They were cheerful about making it. I told them I wanted to invite them back for a mariachi party. They did a beautiful job!

I am extremely pleased with the workmanship provided by DC Roofing. In one instance, a crew member stepped through an old board and punctured a hole in the ceiling. The repair was made quickly and thoroughly - as if the incident never happened. The DC Roofing crew was timely and did a marvelous job with installation and cleanup. I will gladly recommend them for their honesty, competitive pricing, and quality of work.

Terry was the face of the company. He was the salesperson that came out and looked at the job. He also followed up. He is really, really good, friendly, and explained the project very clearly. The quality of the work was great, but communication was horrible. I emailed, texted, and called in my concerns and got little or inaccurate responses from the office. I was finally able to get everything cleared up after the project was complete during a walk through, but I would have liked more communications with some of the issues I was noticing during the install.

I was considering doing a lift and lay with our existing tile roof but we decided to do a full replacement with shingle and we are so happy with the look and quality of the material and workmanship. Also gave us peace of mind to have all our leaks fixed before this rainy season.
