Communication could be better.
The workers were pleasant, helpful, and efficient
Have a better (smaller) patio door screen latching mechanism. I had to remove it after seeing how large it was. One of the casement windows had a mechanical flaw in the linkage that opens & closes it. Overall the install team was good. I would like to know how to remove the screens from the casement windows.
It’s only been a few days with the new windows so I won’t know if I would recommend them to friends until I see results with the ultra high efficiency windows. So far they don’t seem to keep the home any cooler than our old windows but maybe that has something to do with the design of the double hung windows, they just don’t seem to seal as well as our old single hung ones. Additionally 3 of the windows have locking hardware that wobbles (already sent a video to Mike). There’s also one window with a visible gap in the sealing (also sent video to Mike) but I don’t blame the actual windows for this just something small that the install team missed and will hopefully repair soon.
I am very satisfied with my window purchase. I would recommend getting a quote from Apex if you are looking for window replacement.
The windows were not measured or ordered correctly so they came in wrong.
I would highly recommend the product of your windows and your installers. We originally purchased our windows in 2020 before the company was bought by Great Day and our experience then with sales, scheduling and communication was excellent. That was not our experience this go around. We would tell people to go with you if they are not in a hurry and our fine with poor communication and a bunch of back and forth.
The entire team was so pleasant to work with. They went above and beyond my expectations. They were installed sooner than expected. The installation process went very quick.
Our windows are beautiful and are very high quality.
Customer service is awful. I had 10 different people call me about setting up measurement appointment. No mores in your system no record ofcwhat I told the last person. I ordered windows in February to be told the company was going through changes and they didn't get ordered until March. I wasn't told the local office shut down. No local installers, they had to come from IL. They were over an hour late. No after hours phone number so had no idea when or if they were arriving. They were packing up to leave and I found a huge gap in the upper trim on the slider to the outside they installed that they didn't catch. He was going to caulk it? I said he had to replace the trim. It was over 1/4 inch wide.
Reasonable price, techs were very professional and friendly
This is the second time we've used Apex, and both times, we've been extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the product itself. They are a bit pricey, but we found their services to be worth the extra cost.
In early September, I placed an order for 12 windows and 2 doors, paying a 30% downpayment. In February, a partial shipment (2 doors and 6 windows) arrived. To secure installation, I paid the delivery invoice in full, which incorrectly billed for the entire order. Since that installation, 6 windows remain missing. My Project Manager has ignored numerous calls and emails for an update. Promises from Customer Service to have my project manager contact me have gone unfulfilled. What I need is an update as to when my remaining windows will be delivered and installed. Or I want my money back so that I can pursue replacement with another company.
Quick build and install. Great quality
Apex delivered as promised. The sales and installation process was quick and easy.
High quality windows and excellent installation crew
I would recommend these windows to anyone.
We didn’t much care for the payment plan. 60% to start, than 30% before they are ordered, then the final 10% after installation. Not very many businesses that we have encountered new things that way. We had paid 90% of the cost before we even saw the product. 50% – 50% is standard procedure.
Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and absolutely focused on doing their job well without sacrificing flexibility and what we actually needed out of our new windows and the installation process.
The color hardware ordered was not what the windows came with. I have reported this but received no contact from anyone. One window in the bathroom has a broken frame which was noted by the installers, but I have received no contact from anyone about replacing it. Overall, the communication has been poor.
Design of the windows could be adjusted to minimize the outset appearance as there doesn't appear to be a reason for them to sit so far out (even with the triple pane and sliding screens). The installation method has advantages especially in cases where the siding is installed over the nail fins without trim.
Quality product, excellent communication along the way and very professional installation
Horrible communication. A 10 week time frame turned into 8 months. Absolutely no updates from Apex during the whole process after ordering the windows. The advertised “master installer experience” was not anything close to what was shown in the video
Everything went so smoothly and we’re really happy with the product.
Requests to add additional window after contract was completed while salesperson was still at house. Attic window was measured but never ordered.
The quality of the windows are beautiful and wonderful to use. I find the house much more quiet given the three panes.
We love the windows and feel that they were a good value.
was told install would take 1 day. it took 2 and installer started on thursday and did not return until monday. had to change my schedule to accommodate. other than that , installation was fine.
I am still on the fence, there are 3 windows that need replaced, one was broken in shipping, the second is a large window that was shipped double pain and the third was shipped double pained but no one will agree to replace it with the tripple pained that I thought I was getting.
Multiple trips, multiple measurements, slow responses from the customer support center, errors on financing documents, broken windows and repeat visits for job completion.
It took a very long time from measuring to installation then the installer said the handle needed to be replaced and we haven’t heard anything since
Finished our window project with Apex windows. Windows do a great job sealing up any drafts and warming up the rooms.
I have a problem with the screens and no one has been assigned to help yet. The manager did call me right away but I have not been scheduled yet.
Everything went very smooth.
Where to begin. I actually love the product (9/10). And the subcontractors who did the install were amazing (9/10). But it has been a long bumpy road from when I was first approached to when the windows were installed. Not just poor communication, but NO communication for months and weeks at a time. (0/10) And now that the windows were installed, no communication whatsoever about the punch list items (for broken lock parts that need to be installed) despite calling customer service three days ago and being told to expect a call from the Columbus field manager on what happens next. I also believe there was meant to be a sign placed in my yard highlighting the new windows as part of Apex's marketing strategy. Nothing regarding that either. Project management from sale to install (and including follow-up) has been abysmal. And I still have two ground floor windows (two weeks later) with no locking mechanisms.
Unprofessional salesman.
I love the 3 pain glass and the durability of the windows.
I have talked to three friends personally about the windows. One said she was going to call Chris, another neighbor has a friend they will probably use and the other one is a procrastinator and is on vacation. So do not know when she will call.
The overall process has been super smooth. There has been no unexpected issues or delays.
The only good part so far of this purchase and installation was the initial salesman. Then shortly after our order, he was either let go or left the company.
