We found Lou Alloway to be extremely responsive to our needs and concerns. He is an excellent communicator and cares deeply about the quality of his team's work. He was incredibly supportive throughout the many months it took to renovate the kitchen and bathroom in our
100-year-old home. Crooked walls...slanting floors .....broken pipes ....cracked ceilings....the problems seemed endless to us. But Lou, Mike and James stood by us through all of it, and we will never forget the security we felt in having these men on our side.

Additional Comments - All in all, we could not be more satisfied. We found everyone from Schulte's staff to be incredibly skilled, creative, communicative, respectful, and kind. When problems arose, they were addressed immediately and our input was solicited. There was a true understanding that our budget was not unlimited and, when necessary, cost-effective solutions were proposed, even when that meant that another vendor (like Katie's Closets) would benefit instead of Schulte Restorations. The weekly meetings were super helpful in keeping us on track in terms of making decisions and explaining to us where we were along the way. Any questions we asked were addressed in detail and in a way that fully answered us without condescension or frustration at any lack of knowledge on our part. We always felt safe, both in terms of construction and having Schulte staff in our home, and any subcontractors were always supervised by our project manager. When making structural decisions, we were able to count on the experience and expertise of the Schulte team. No detail was left unattended, and the quality of work from the foundation and literal bricks & mortar to the trim and careful cabinet installation (and SO much more) was impeccable. We got some excellent suggestions on how to make small changes (like molding around the entry way between the dining room and living room, removal of track lighting, and installation of overhead lighting in the dining room) to improve the aesthetics of the house. And there was a general sense of calm that pervaded the experience so that we never felt nervous or hysterical, despite the normal chaos that accompanies this kind of work. We are very grateful to have had such a lovely group of people build out our beautiful home. Thank you.

You made time to join us at meetings with the architect, structural engineer and cabinet designer, providing continuity between us all at every step of the process. Communication - We enjoyed working with Jim. He was informative and kept us in the loop with what he was doing and why. He always listened carefully to our concerns and thoughts, and worked to accommodate and trouble shoot with us. He was a comfortable addition to our home for the three months he was here.

He went over all aspects of the project in a manner that led us to believe that we knew who we would be working with.
