Quality of work. if not correct contractor comes back to fix. Susan (project manager) was on top of eveything. Lonnie (tile guru) was awesome. Painter worked great with us to find the right colour.Q

Irons Brothers were top shelf, from start to finish!

Budget

Budget - Friends and acquaintances not in the know questioned the budget we agreed to but I believe firmly that you get what you pay for. We didn't experience cost overruns, were always consulted when unexpected matters came up, and if we changed our mind about something, Irons was upfront about the cost of change orders. There were less than a handful of these because the work on the front end was so thorough.

Design Team Knowledge & Helpfullness

Design Team Knowledge & Helpfullness - I would still be standing in cabinet, kitchen, and flooring showrooms if it hadn't been for our designer. She took into account inspiration photos we had shared and curated a perfectly reasonable amount of options from which to choose. She was also highly responsive to ongoing conversations as the design process unfolded.

I'd recommend to people most concerned with professionalism and a satisfactory finished product. "Fast" and "economical" aren't words that come to mind, though. But years from now, we'll be happy about the quality and may not remember the lengthy disruption so much.

Design Team Knowledge & Helpfullness

Design Team Knowledge & Helpfullness - Designer Briana Benton was really knowledgeable and kept her eye on the billion details for which we didn't always have the mental bandwidth (so many options, so many decisions, so many moving parts). Joseph Irons and others at Irons Bros. also were very helpful thanks to wide and deep expertise with materials, measurements and so forth.

Areas Of Satisfaction

Areas Of Satisfaction - Dozens of areas particularly of "meet expectations," too numerous to list.

From start to finish, it was a delight to work with Irons Brothers.

There is a contractual clause that prevents me from providing a detailed review of this project.

Area For Improvement

Area For Improvement - Perhaps more consistency or communication about staffing changes. We were a little concerned about losing 2 site managers (Matt and Dejah) through the course of our project. While the project timelines and quality did not seem to be impacted, we did grow a little weary of what those employees might be going through/how they were being treated by Irons Brothers, etc. that might have made for so much turnover.

Specifically, Matt blew my mind with his professionalism even when I was frustrated, his patience and thoughtfulness, and his genuine (or appeared genuine) care for the way the final project looked and worked. He seemed to take pride in the project that was clear in every interaction. Trevor likewise was a star. He was totally engaged at every turn, full of good ideas and constant reality checks. I truly appreciated Matt and Trevor for their candor and responsiveness throughout.
