Excellent quality construction and attention to customer needs and requests. However, we discovered (apparently by accident) irregularities in their markup that, had we not discovered them, would have resulted in our having been overcharged by thousands of dollars, which significantly soured the experience. If my friend had money to burn, I'd highly recommend them.
Willet Construction is a company with great expertise, knowledge and a passion for what they do.
Professional & Organized - Appreciated the professionalism and how well project was organized.... contractors all showed up when they were scheduled.
Additional Comments - We would definitely hire Willet construction for another project and highly recommend them to others!!
Communication - This is such a huge issue for anyone involved in the service industry. Willet does a great job communicating and following through. They stay on schedule which is appreciated by us and their subcontractors!
Problem Resolution - Whenever we have had something come up, it’s been great to trust that Willet will make sure it is taken care of the right way. This is one of the main reasons we have continued to use them over and over for various projects.
Areas Of Satisfaction - They have consistently been amazing to work with for 3 different projects. We deeply appreciate the skills, attitude and integrity of the project manager, lead carpenter and designer. The quality of service and workmanship is outstanding.
Timely, excellent workmanship.
Expertise - The project was scheduled to show what activity was going on each day.
The construction crew did a great job. Trim and flashing work was excellent.
Recognized Excellence - Thanks to Nicholas, Jarrod, Thom and Josh.
Areas Of Satisfaction - They always do a nice job, which is why we continue to use them for projects.
Friendly, yet very professional workforce and sub-contractors.
Expertise - Appreciated their expertise and knowledge of the building process and the wide variety of materials available.
Budget - Yes. Upon our request, the project "grew" in size and cost, but in retrospect, we're very satisfied that we did more than originally planned. As things were added/changed during the construction process, we were advised of additional costs in a very timely manner.
Communication - All involved returned calls and answered emails in a very timely manner.
Problem Resolution - - Willet Construction was extremely conscientious in managing the subcontractors and making sure that they returned to our site when details needed to be addressed. The kitchen counter installers returned three additional times until satisfactory results were achieved.
Employees & Subcontractors - - See #1. - See #8. - Speciat shoutouts to Jenny Huls as designer, Jeremy Carpenter as lead carpenter along with his crew, and Nicholoas Jacobsen as project manager. So enjoyed working with them.
Value - We especially appreciated NOT having to secure the subcontractors: plumbers, electricians, drywallers, painters, flooring, cabinets, etc.
Punchlist - The "end details" were completed in a timely manner. The sub-contractors returned within a few days of the punchlist.
Areas Of Satisfaction - As the customer, we had virtually no knowledge of building materials and appreciated the advice given by Willet's. - Items in particular which occurred during th process were: 1. Jenny's ability to take our dreams from possibility to reality. 2. Raising a celing beam. We wanted maximum visibilitiy so a "Dutch gable" (or as Jeremy called it, "the eyebrow") did the trick! 3. Nicholas found new siding which matched the 30-yr-old original siding! The Willet crew, then, mixed old siding with the new for a great result. 4. Originally, we planned only minor renovations to a bath. The plumbers removed all of old fixtures instead of only those designated, resulting in some damaged tiles. Willet's split the cost difference with us, resulting in virtually a new bath. 5. The Willet family is obviously proud of their company and certainly should be!
Additional Comments - When we built our home in 1989-90, we were working full-time and observed the construction from afar. This time, we had "front row seats" and thoroughly appeciated learning about and watching from a close vantage point. We chose to live downstairs during the remodeling as every single room on the main floor was impacted. It was as stressfree as possible and as fascinating as could be!
Additional Comments - SO glad that we initiated this, that Willet Construction did the work, and that we are done ... for the moment! :-)
They did a great job.
Additional Comments - My house is just what I wanted from the remodel. The new kitchen cabinets perfectly match the old ones and I am awaiting the new furniture on order to complete it all. It is beautiful with the wood flooring throughout the house and allergy free. I appreciate all their attention to detail and everyone was a pleasure to work with.
The project manager, Eric, was excellent at communicating and followup with any issues that may have arose. The construction crew was professional and courteous.
We've used Willet for four projects over the last ten years. They have never failed to meet our expectations and we are always amazed about the quality work they've done for us. We have heard horror stories about other contractors and we are very thankful we've used Willet. They are the best, bar none, in the Lincoln area.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The best thing about Willet is that they have a schedule and they follow it day by day to the best of their ability barring any unforeseen problems. In remodeling old homes there are always problems and they still manage to meet the schedule only within a few days. They use quality subcontractors that are also mindful and do fantastic work.
I have used Willet Construction for three different major projects in my house. They are outstanding in their design, workmanship, communication, timeliness, and trustworthiness. I highly recommend Willet Construction. They might be a little more expensive than other companies, but what you get in return is so worth it!
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Willet Construction, Inc. as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
