I went up to the head of the company and he became interested when I owed them money. He was somewhat threatening. I had called 5 or 6 times during the project to contact him, but he did not return any of my calls during the project. He only called me when it was time to collect the money.
We were told we were still waiting on the insurance company. We called the insurance company and they said they sent the money over 3 weeks ago.
They said the ordered the cabinets already. They had not. They then said it would be an additional 6000$ and 5 weeks to get the cabinets we wanted. We called Jerry’s and confirmed they were in stock for the agreed upon price.
We scheduled our bathroom to be torn out on a Friday so we could minimize the amount of time with out a shower. They tore it out on Thursday and then failed to replace it on Monday. Along with a few other basic plumbing mistakes. Forgetting to replace the dish washing line. And failing to install the new lines that were requested.
They told us they had ordered the floor. 4 weeks after that they asked us if we had picked out a floor. Now it’s on backorder.
They told us the insurance quote was ready. They sent us someone else quote. Not once. Not twice. Three times. Three different quotes belonging to other customers. I wonder how many people saw our quote.
I don’t mind if things take a while. Or if they are going to be expensive. Just don’t lie to face about it. All of these things would have been fine if they were upfront and honest. Makes me wonder what else they are lying about. There aren’t words strong enough to convey how much I recommend not working with this company. We are currently three months in to a one month job. If they manage to make it right I will remove my review. My confidence they can pull that off is low.
I wouldn't recommend them under any circumstances. I will reserve my comments until this is legally settled.
While the overall work was satisfactory, the lack of communication from the office and delays were extremely frustrating. There were crews that were brought out multiple times to touch up the same areas. There were multiple days (sometimes a week) where no work took place, despite what I was told what to expect by the office staff. It was a long process that took a couple months longer than what I anticipated. It was difficult to even get someone to remove the lock box, weeks after the last employee had been by to do work.
The thing that impressed me the most is that they had respect for me and my property which is pretty unusual for a contractor!
I think they took on way more work than they could actually complete. They need to hire more employees or turn some jobs down, because this absolutely ridiculous
Willamette Valley Restoration has been extremely cooperative dealing with my insurance loss. Complications at the project required many difficulties and postponements that were no fault of WVR.. I am confident that a successful restoration will be soon at hand. WVR has been great to work with.
They removed some of the insulation under our house where the water had seeped - we were told they would replace it - when I called about it they stated they were not required to replace it !!!!!!! They didn't replace the cover for the crawl space leading to underneath the house ... !!! They removed the trim under the kitchen cabinet and didn't replace it!!
Michael Jones of WVR was personally involved with our job and kept us informed all along the way of the processes involved. When he brought in subcontractors they were top notch and Mike inspected the work as it was done to be sure that it was thorough. We would definitely recommend WVR and will use them again if the need should arise.
