Current Referrals - I do not know any current referrals at this time. If anyone were to call me I would say they would have to include the Weldon Home Exteriors company contracting in their bid process. I would tell any potential client to get at least three bids. Weldon's price was neither the lowest or the highest. It was towards the lower end, but there were two other bids I recieved that were a little less expensive than Weldon Home Exteriors was. These other two companies were not as thorough with the bid process, so I went with Weldon Home Exteriors and paid just maybe $1,000 more.

Recognized Excellence - I thought all three of the Weldons were good. I thought Lee, his wife, and the son all played key roles. I believe Lee got a little ill, and he wasn't able to come back out for the final couple of visits. His son took care of the stuff, and maybe then was where there was some fall off when I say things didn't look right. It wasn't Lee I was dealing with at that point, but I liked all three of them.

Additional Comments - They, generally, did a really good job. The reason i gave them a 4/5 on the Likely To Recomend question is because I would have hoped for the amount of money I spent, they would have been just a touch more proactive as the job was finishing up, and without me saying, "You need to fix that, contractor. You need to paint that. You need to put siding as opposed to a flat board in between those windows. You need to put siding pieces." Just things like that.

Weldon Home Exteriors were very professional, courteous, felt like family in working with them, detailed in scheduling, and kept me up to date and informed. It was a pleasure to work with them.

On-time, on-budget, professional crews

Our home was in need of an overhaul and we chose Weldon Construction after meeting with several contractors. Owner Lee Weldon and son Tyler were constantly on premises supervising. The crew was on time and did meticulous work removing existing stucco and EFSI and applying Hardie plank. They cleaned the worksite each day before leaving. Weldon Construction is James Hardie certified which many contractors are not. Lee was helpful in coordinating the design and even installed beautiful cedar columns in the front. Wife Carrie handled billing and was always in communication. We love our house now and heartily recommend Weldon Construction!

Initially I was pleased with Weldon Home Exteriors. The price was comparable to other outfits and the crew did a great job of making sure everything was installed efficiently and cleaned up each night. Overall, the siding work has been as expected. However, issues came after the install. During install the crew accidentally damaged our roof, I found out about this after a hard rain. I called the owner, told him about the issue and did not ask for him to fix it,r ahter to come and take a look. He assured me he would send his "roof guy: out to look at it. A week later, after no one showed up, I called again. I have never heard from him since, after multiple times trying to get a hold of him. I was willing to work with them to reach a solution, having been in construction before I realize accidents happen. Weldon Exteriors' blatant disregard for following through on their promise to send someone out, and the cowardice of not responding to subsequent phone calls should give anyone pause before choosing this company and dealing with the owner. Additionally, some of the molding originally installed had come loose, rather than not receive a callback, I had the painters fix that issue. Also, we were told our project would be put on some Hardie list as a certified install...that has yet to happen.

Overall a good experience, but there were some issues that could have been handled better.
