We rarely give reviews, and when we do, we try to be as objective as possible. We wanted one company to do a whole bathroom project in a reasonable time and price. In our bathroom, we did: a bathtub-to-shower conversion with a removed dropped ceiling, floor replacement, sink faucet replacement, toilet installation, old vanity re-caulking, wallpaper removal and wall and ceiling painting. We went with Unique Home Solutions (Middleburg Heights, OH) even though they charge premium prices partially because they promised to have the new shower functional at the end of the second day of work. At the end of the second day they left for the day without telling us the shower is not yet functional; and when we complained, they said that they never have it functional in two days. Furthermore, we ended up with a mediocre paint job in the bathroom. The walls were not skim coated before priming and painting to cover the "evidence" from tearing down the wallpaper. When asked, why they skipped this logical step, the answer project team leader and the customer relations/service office gave was: skim coating/prepping the wall for painting was not included in their paint job description – just tearing wallpaper and painting. Basically, it was our fault for not telling them how to do their job. Is not the knowledge and competence customers entrust experts when hiring to do their job professionally? Should I fear not getting my soup in a restaurant because the waiter refuses to bring me the spoon simply because I did not specify my eating manners? For a professional home improvement company that considers itself the leader in the field, assuming customers' fault for not doing their job professionally is not and should not be an excuse. They never once recommended doing this – if it was an “extra,” they should have tried to upsell us, not just skip the step that obviously needed to be done. As far as we can tell, the rest of the bathroom remodeling job was done well, though the unprofessional paint job makes us nervous about what we can’t see, as well as their dishonesty in explicitly promising a two-day functional shower install that they were unable to deliver. If they would have contacted me about solving my problem then I would have. However, they haven't taken care of it. Once they sell the product they don't really follow up.

They are very friendly and knowledgeable. Their workers are beyond exceptional and do a great job. They are very clean and very neat and you can ask questions and they will answer them. They are there 100% of time and basically walk you through what they are going to do.

Jason and Tom the installers did an awesome job. I didn't have to do any clean up. You didn't find a bit of paint or dust inside or outside the house.
