We had Tampa Bay Roofing install a brand-new roof on our home, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Having only lived in Florida for about three years, we’ve heard plenty of horror stories from neighbors about contractors in general—especially after hurricanes or flood damage—where promises weren’t kept. Tampa Bay Roofing proved to us that there are still reputable companies that deliver exactly what they say they will, and then some.

We originally received a quote a year and a half ago and knew right away this was the company we wanted to work with. Due to a personal situation, we had to delay the project, but we kept their number handy. When we called back, our original salesperson had retired, and Joshua stepped in seamlessly. Like any homeowner, we wanted to make sure we were getting the best value possible, and Tampa Bay Roofing worked with us in a fair and professional way.

The job itself was impressive—when they say they’re bringing a crew, they mean it! Around 20 guys arrived and got right to work. Yes, it’s loud, but the company prepped us extremely well with clear instructions and follow-ups so we knew exactly what to expect. The crew worked hard, stayed on schedule, and the entire installation was completed with care.

One small suggestion: when the crew chief came by first thing in the morning, it would’ve been helpful if he reminded us to turn off our A/C units and pool pump since they were covering those areas. Not a big issue at all, just a friendly input that would have made the process even smoother for us as homeowners.

What impressed us the most were the added improvements we didn’t even realize we were getting—such as venting along all the peaks (our home never had that before), upgraded glass skylight that is quieter and more energy efficient, and an extra-thick coating on our patio lanai. Their cleanup was also top-notch; they left the property spotless.

Throughout the project, they documented everything with photos—hundreds of them—which they emailed to us afterwards. This gave us full visibility into the repairs and the extra wood that was used, which made us feel confident about the quality of the work.

Any small issues that came up were handled quickly and thoroughly. I could text the project manager, and within hours someone was on-site to resolve it, with follow-up the very next day. All permits, inspections, and warranty paperwork were handled quickly and professionally. Even the wind mitigation inspection was coordinated for us without hassle.

I've had a lot of contract work done on this house and this was by far the simplest and easiest to work with. They may have done an excellent job on the roof, but I'm not a roofer, so I'm not qualified to say. I do know that communication was somewhere between horrible and non existent, and follow through was a mixed bag. I even got a smart *** response from the job boss. All in all, left a bad taste in my mouth.

My experience with The Roofing Company of Tampa Bay was great! Every aspect exceeded my expectations. From the initial quote with Matt, scheduling with Sarah and communication with Dallas during the installation. Everyone is very professional and the communication during the installation was incredible. I have worked with other roofing companies in the past, and none were as good as The Roofing Company. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a roof in the Tampa Bay area. You won't be disappointed!

I am not giving a four star rating, this survey doesn't allow me to change it. We will go with 3 stars only. The sales person, Jeff, was prompt in coming out to assess our roof and provide an estimate and to get the check when done. The crew speaks little to no English, the foreman wasn't as present as he should have been, our pool wasn't protected until I asked them to, this after a lot of debris was already in there. The solar heating system was cut off at the roofline and not capped leading to a lot of water being drained from the pool. I had to shut the breaker off to the pool pump until the roof was done and the solar system replaced. The tarps used to protect our plants were trampled on and they dragged them over the plants thereby trampling them further. I now have a number of plants I have to replace. They used our power outlets and tripped a breaker but didn't tell anyone about it so our outside refrigerator was without power for days resulting in a loss of expensive Alaskan seafood we had had flown in for the holidays. The gutters were to have been cleaned of all debris before replacing the leaf guards which didn't happen and with the first rain we had roofing nails exiting the downspouts and scattering on the concrete. I know there are always hiccups with any roofing job but these were more than hiccups.

They were professional and finished in a day and a half. For such a large job with a lot of complicated angles, I found this to be truly remarkable. Charlie, the sales manager, was outstanding to work with.

I would NEVER use this company! The initial part was handled well, price was competitive however it went downhill from there. The installation crew chief cut a trim board in a corner where the old roof had leaked. When I pointed the gap out to him, rather than replace the board, he climbed up the ladder and inserted white calk into the open area! The repair guy Dennis then came out after I complained that this was not the correct way to leave this board, replaced the board completely and finished the corrugated plastic roof over my grill area. He was supposed to return to place a flashing between the roof and the corrugated roof, but never showed up! I became so frustrated, I just paid for the job in full and will have another company repair their awful job. I would never recommend this company to anyone and have alerted other homeowners in my area to avoid this company.

We had 5 companies quote our roof. The Roofing Company wasn't the most expensive or the least expensive. However, of the 5 people on my roof, only Jeff said "Before I leave, you have some loose shingles. I'm going to fix them." That made me feel like he cared. On the day of install they had a huge team and got our roof done in just one day. Also enjoyed working with Sarah from the office.

Many roofs are being replaced in our neighborhood so I had the opportunity to watch crews from five different companies replace the roofs on home of five neighbors with a perfect view from my home office window overlooking our street.I noted each company's name and decided we would use the one I was most impressed with to do or rood. Hands down that was The Roofing Company of Tampa Bay. Their large crew showed a tremendous work ethic and attention to detail in producing a great looking final installation. After we hired them our experience was exactly the same (especially impressed with Field Manager Dallas Wayne who AFTER the roof was installed came back twice to make sure everything was done perfectly and to our satisfaction). A new roof is expensive for anyone but we felt we got a maximum effort and superior product from TRCTB that gave us good value and peace of mind for the money.
