This has been the worst experience from the very start to the end. The first door installed had multiple defects and was the incorrect color ordered. The second door installed also had multiple defects and required a third slab door to be re-ordered and was finally in pristine condition. The installer cut our siding too short and we were told that it could not be fixed- my father had to correct the installers mistake. Our screen door was also defective and only fastened on 2 of 4 sides- we were told that it is normal to be an hourglass shape and for all of the pegs not to touch. After fighting for what is right, we were finally ordered an additional screen door and MAGIC- all the pegs are touching on all 4 sides.
The communication with every single member of the team was incredibly poor and no one was ever on time to an appointment at our house. My husband and I had to take off multiple days to accommodate all of these errors. No one seemed to care about our time or frustration with all of this. This entire process has gone on for months. I have had to make multiple phone calls, and send multiple e-mails every week in order to keep this company and it's team accountable. For spending almost $11K on a door, one would think that there would be a higher level of professionalism. We were offered a $250 discount at the end for all of our troubles, which is kind of insulting on an $11K door. However, it is better than nothing, so we took it.
Had new patio slider installed . Went well and installers professionally installed door . Still have screen door that has a bow to it making it challenging to close . Tec was sent out and nothing fixed or told of return trip . Was told just have to pull it on little to close screen . I fixed loose handle on main slider . Lost of money spent on this and not happy with customer service. Still think screen door frame need replacing and realigned. Still awaiting a call asking how the Tec did yesterday.
I purchased my 1st Stanek windows 9 years ago, sales was great, installation was great, product was great, I just purchased the last window needing to be replaced, sales was great, installation was poor, product is not what it had been. The handles are cheap, seals already deformed, and service took months to complete the installation.
We had our door installed April 23. The day after it was installed we tried to go out the door and was not able to open it. It took my entire weight to be able to get it open. I called to have the door looked at. They came out May 7th. On that day they said it was installed incorrectly and would need to be redone. I was set up for a month later on June 9th. Unfortunately we had to cancel that appointment due to a death in the family. Rescheduled for July 14. I took off work to be available, but at 10:00 they still didn’t show up to fix the door. I called and was told we were never on the schedule. I was told that the installer had torn a ligament in his knee and that they were working to rehire someone and that he should have everything completed and be able to install our door as his first appointment. Rescheduled again 2 weeks later (July 30). The new installer wasn’t able to start on that date, so we were rescheduled yet again, for almost a month later. We finally got the door fixed on August 20. We’re were unable to use our front door for the whole summer nearly 4 months. We paid more than we were planning, but went with Stanek because of the warranty and the reputation. We finally got everything fixed but the headache wasn’t worth it.
I have had a positive experience, with excellent quality and service.
The installer’s were on time, friendly and knowledgeable, when we had a problem they came on the next work day and solved our problem!
The installer was professional and timely and did a great job.
