We had to use Servpro last year, but we used a different Servpro. We liked them all, and they were excellent. This time we decided to use Servpro of N Summit & Portage Counties because they were closer to us. I did not realize they were much more expensive.
They present very well. However, the lead clean up person routinely lied to me and my wife regarding the behind the scenes communications and negotiations Servpro and my insurance adjuster were engaging in during the clean up. The insurance adjuster confirmed my suspicions. The end result was that my basement carpet was dried for $6400. With the remainder of the basement left with water stains on the cinder blocks and a dirty concrete floor in the utility room. My recommendation is to not use this ServPro. Even more suspicious was when I ask the lead person conducting the clean up the expected cost of our job. He stated with his 10yrs of experience he estimated $2,400-$3,400. But only after the insurance adjuster issued $3,600 for my repairs did Servpro’s bill equal $6,400. Exactly $10,000 total. This amount is the amount of my coverage provide by insurance. $6,400 dollars for two dehumidifiers and 12 fans for 72hrs. For that amount I could have trashed the carpet and bought or rented the industrial humidifiers and still had money left over.
I'm likely to recommend against Servpro.
