Overall, I’m dissatisfied with the services I received from ServiceMaster of Salem. The initial damage mitigation work by ServiceMaster Salem, prompted repair work from a competitor due to faulty service. Worse, the dehumidifier and dryer in one of the rooms was never checked by your technicians. Upon my own self-inspection, the drip tray was filled with water, and the electrical cord to the dehumidifier was in standing water.
If you’re looking for a horrific experience after having an already disconcerting property loss LOOK NO FURTHER. The laborer in my home mitigating the damage made a choice to not remove our glass top counter stove while removing cabinets. This broke the stove beyond repair. Weeks later, a “manager” came by to assess the damage and so they could come up with reimbursement amount for the stove. (I believe they were trying to blame me for the damage). Weeks go by without a word, I call them and eventually get a $300 offer. The stove costs no less than $1200 just for the stove - no removal or installation. So I got to fight and argue with 3 different managers until I got to talk to the “division manager” who quite clearly was unable to manage his own shoelaces. Eventually we came to an agreement, but not before it was evident that I’d never be doing business with “service Disaster” again Inadequately trained service people. Incompetent management. Questionably inept repair quality. The worst customer service experience I’ve had in memory. This place courts insurers (wine and dine and box tickets to sports games…) so they’ll get contracts…but they don’t care much about the homeowner as far as I can tell. 10/10 would run the other way if they saw service master coming.
I am not likely to recommend ServiceMaster to a friend due to customer service with the office.
I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service I received from Service Master. I appreciate that they were on time and very friendly. The job from beginning to end was done in a professional and courteous manner. They turned an unpleasant situation to a wonderful ending. Thank you!
Dwayne, Project Manager was great. A very good problem solver. Jeremy, carpenter, was very skilled, always polite.
We felt we had been rescued from a big mess, so glad they could help us. Thanks to all the guys that were here.
They were supposed to carefully remove my cabinets and countertops to dry the floor from a small dishwasher leak. Instead they destroyed my entire kitchen causing my insurance company to have to pay to replace everything.
Satisfactory for drying out water damage. Would not recommend for any finishing work or repairs. Work not done as agreed upon. Had someone else finish the job.
The employees are great and work hard. The upper management needs better communication.
The people of Service Master are great to work with. I had a water leak in my house that destroyed about two thirds of my home. Everyone was very kind and helpful through the process.
They were very efficient. Once they were notified, they were right out here on time and did a good job.
Samantha was amazing, she answered all of my questions and was always available by phone or text to address any questions or concerns I might have had.
Area Of Satisfaction - I was most satisfied with the quick response, and turn around time.
Area Of Satisfaction - I was most satisfied when working with Ryan and the installation crew. They were all very professional, accommodating and enjoyable to talk with.
