Always a pleasure
As stated below, I use the Y mostly for pickle ball. I do recommend it to people looking for not only a place to play, but a place to develop friendships and feel a sense of community. I give this credit to Judy Mann.
The exercise room is small and broken equipment is not repaired or replaced in a timely manner. But staff and other members especially the pickle ball coordinators are Fantastic
In addition, I’ve looked accross several local Y programs -none offer a Senior Basketball program or time slot. No we seniors do not enjoy playing with 18 year olds and they feel like wise. Thanks
Very welcoming at Ridgecrest Y
Every new member I meet always says what a great Silver Sneakers Class we have. It's fun and doesn't feel like a workout but it sure is. From all of the staff to the members, it feels like family.
Disappointed in the cycling bikes not being fixed. There are 15 bikes and at least 6 are not working properly.
People are very friendly. I like the diversity in the membership.
The pickleball there is the best!
Anyone that is at the desk at the front door is always friendly. I only go there for one class and the class is awesome. I have made friends there and I hate missing a day but sometimes that’s necessary.
Dropped my favorite class, stretch Yoga with Jennifer Fridays. Boooo
Everything
More workout machines in weight room.
No one never contacted us about the swimming lessons
Improve the # of pickleball courts by 2 giving us 6. Expand the workout rm and possibly out a window to make it leas claustrophobic
Great place
During pickleball the games are not fairly distributed. Favorites are played meaning, some are given priority over others. Some are allowed to fudge the line
I love the water exercise classes. Karen is professional, responsible, and friendly! Lifeguard Davys is a wonderful addition to the team. So helpful and friendly, a real superstar!
I love it there and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Always pleasant staff & they know us by 1st names which makes us feel like part of the YMCA community.
I never was contacted after leaving numerous messages for the director. Not even sure why a survey was sent to me for completion.
Everything, the staff, the people.
I joined from the highland Y and really liked the cycling followed by a yoga or other floor exercise group. That no longer being available, I’m disinclined to drive the 20 minutes twice weekly for just the cycling.
The class seemed very disorganized. Student only spent approx 3 mins receiving instruction and it seemed unfocused. Sick students were allowed to attend and were coughing all over classmates. Our student showed no improvement in skills. Highly disappointed.
Tiara is such a wonderful mentor to all the children. She is strict when she needs be but she has such a kind heart ❤️ She always has a positive attitude and always seems so happy to be there! Tiara has mentored my granddaughter for 6 years and it was money well spent!
Well run Pickleball program. Lots of fun. Staff are super friendly.
