Good experience
I was very happy after talking with the salesman. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, looked at the area where I needed the work and we discussed what could be done. He confirmed it with his office, as I was looking for a conversion not just window replacement.
The people who installed the windows were top-notch, but they got me in by telling me they would give me a break because I'm military and 100% disabled. I didn't feel like $30,000.00 for nine windows was a break. I'm not grumpy, I just think they could have offered a better discount. The regular price was $45,000.00. They started with an astronomical number. In Michigan, I could have gotten the project done for 10% less, although they wouldn't have been impact windows. One thing about Florida is that when people sell you stuff, they think because you live in Florida near the coast that you're wealthy. I am unlisted- military. I am not wealthy. We saved up for five years to get there. I had old windows made of aluminum, and some were cracked and fixed with plastic. I'm fine with everything, and the quality is exceptional. The guys were a South American crew, and they were good. They were the best I've seen on anything I've ever had done. It's just the cost. The lady we bought the windows from contradicted everything the guy who came to the door said. It was like a bait-and-switch. They are high-quality windows, but I am curious about what they're really making off it. The quality is good, and they explained how to work them. They flip outward. Also, the guys who installed them used caulk on them and said whoever installed the original windows in the 80s didn't even use caulk. It was as though they were just pushed into the wet cement.
I have no feedback to provide.
They did a good job. They hit it out of the park.
From sales to installation all went very well. I do recommend Reece Builders
.
I already have told friends, family, and neighbors.
I think they are amazing.
They were fast, pleasant, workable, and respective of my family. They did a great job.
Top Notch all the way through
The time to get the product. We were not notified of the setbacks.
Knowledge reps. Great quality. Great installation. Very responsive.
The windows are of very good quality. The installation was fast and efficient. Reece Builders / Windows- St. Petersburg provides good service.
We are just waiting on a few trim pieces.
We did recommend Reese to our neighbors. They also hired them and we’re also very satisfied. The next neighbor is considering this as well.
Keep in touch with customers between the sale and installation.
The quality of the door was not good. They had to come three or four times to fix it. They came to fill out the hole, and they are not well filled and will have to do it myself. It was like it was peeling off.
First, I should say that I love my windows. I did not enjoy the process of purchasing the window and it was difficult to communicate to the installers. Only one spoke broken English. There were pieces left on the window seal that no one told me what to do with them. The only thing the installer said in broken English was that they are there because of the inspection. The inspector did not tell me what to do with them and he was irritated that he had only one window on his list to inspect when there were three.
They installed impact windows for us. The service was excellent from start to finish. I can’t say enough about how great they were -- all at an affordable price. They managed every single aspect of the project with great attention to detail and expertise. And they worked efficiently without delays. Plus, it was always clear that they were thinking about the impact of the work on everyone living in the house. They made the process as non-disruptive as possible, and the windows are absolutely gorgeous. In my experience, contractors in South Florida can be hit-or-miss. Reece really took care of us. I highly, highly, highly recommend them.
I would recommend them to a friend because they do quality work.
I was extremely pleased with the Reece keeping us informed regarding the delivery status of our windows in fabrication and
the speed, cleanliness and finish work, both interior and exterior, of a window installations.
A job well done. Thank you, Reece.
The was problem with getting something done when it wasn't. Things should have been done three times that weren't, so they kind of had to backtrack. They somewhat made up for it, but some things occurred that shouldn't have occurred.
The primary focus was the door. She ended up adding the windows on to the project. The door came in, but they were still waiting for the windows. The primary focus was the door because the door that was in place posed a safety hazard, as she is elderly and can't get around.
We were trying to get someone in immediately, and a lot of window places were booked out. We went with Reece because they said they could install within 4–6 weeks. It was over 6 weeks, and when they showed up for the installation, they just had the windows and said the door wasn't there, which posed another problem. They eventually went back and got the door, and the workers stayed late, until 9:00, to complete it.
Originally, they were going to reschedule the door when the door was the whole purpose for the project. She didn't have to do the windows, but decided to add another $13K to her bill, which delayed getting the door in. The side door wouldn't lock, so someone could have broken into her house, and her safety was in danger. We needed the door as soon as possible.
While we were waiting for the door to come in, Reece was supposed to be in contact with us regarding someone coming out and putting snaps on the door within in two weeks, as soon as the permit was signed off on. No one called, so I called and got it scheduled six weeks after the window install. They had us scheduled for a 2-hour window, from 2:00 to 4:00. They called at 3:50, saying they were late on another job and had to reschedule; they were going to reschedule for 6 weeks out. This was unacceptable.
This was extremely stressful on the homeowner because she was trying to get the insurance done, and they required all the details, and Reece wouldn't release the information until the snaps were done. We were at their mercy with all this when all she needed was a door. The windows look nice, don't get me wrong, but the old windows were perfectly fine. She didn't need to go through all this extra when it came to windows; it caused more aggravation than it was worth. Nobody would respond to us or reach out. However, I will say that the workers were great.
Michael and the installer were very good and professional. They came at 11:00 am and left at 8:00 pm. They are wonderful people.
They were wonderful. Timely, professional and great with communication.
I thought Reece was very professional. They did not pressure me into buying anything. They work within your budget and give you the best options. Furthermore, they also got everything done in a timely manner. When they told me it would be 6 weeks, it was 6 weeks. When they said they would be back in 2 weeks, they were back in 2 weeks. I was very happy with them.
