The was problem with getting something done when it wasn't. Things should have been done three times that weren't, so they kind of had to backtrack. They somewhat made up for it, but some things occurred that shouldn't have occurred.
The primary focus was the door. She ended up adding the windows on to the project. The door came in, but they were still waiting for the windows. The primary focus was the door because the door that was in place posed a safety hazard, as she is elderly and can't get around.
We were trying to get someone in immediately, and a lot of window places were booked out. We went with Reece because they said they could install within 4–6 weeks. It was over 6 weeks, and when they showed up for the installation, they just had the windows and said the door wasn't there, which posed another problem. They eventually went back and got the door, and the workers stayed late, until 9:00, to complete it.
Originally, they were going to reschedule the door when the door was the whole purpose for the project. She didn't have to do the windows, but decided to add another $13K to her bill, which delayed getting the door in. The side door wouldn't lock, so someone could have broken into her house, and her safety was in danger. We needed the door as soon as possible.
While we were waiting for the door to come in, Reece was supposed to be in contact with us regarding someone coming out and putting snaps on the door within in two weeks, as soon as the permit was signed off on. No one called, so I called and got it scheduled six weeks after the window install. They had us scheduled for a 2-hour window, from 2:00 to 4:00. They called at 3:50, saying they were late on another job and had to reschedule; they were going to reschedule for 6 weeks out. This was unacceptable.
This was extremely stressful on the homeowner because she was trying to get the insurance done, and they required all the details, and Reece wouldn't release the information until the snaps were done. We were at their mercy with all this when all she needed was a door. The windows look nice, don't get me wrong, but the old windows were perfectly fine. She didn't need to go through all this extra when it came to windows; it caused more aggravation than it was worth. Nobody would respond to us or reach out. However, I will say that the workers were great.
They were wonderful. Timely, professional and great with communication.
I thought Reece was very professional. They did not pressure me into buying anything. They work within your budget and give you the best options. Furthermore, they also got everything done in a timely manner. When they told me it would be 6 weeks, it was 6 weeks. When they said they would be back in 2 weeks, they were back in 2 weeks. I was very happy with them.
Very professional demonstration of product. Not one other window company revealed that by law, they are required to provide the storm shutters if not installing hurricane impact windows. That and the fact that their warranty is lifetime and transferable if I sell my home. These were super important for me.
After 3 months the door is still not finished.
This was such a great experience start to finish I want to tell everyone how great they are!
The people I interacted with from Sales to Service were good.
What should have been an order placed in November 2024, install January 2025, turned into a final screw cover up in June 2025. 3 windows ordered, at install 1 of the 3 was the wrong window, at County inspection for permit 1 window failed inspection due to improper ingress:egress in case of a fire. Add on now another 6-8 weeks to reorder and install the windows. I wish we would have used another company- the cost of the windows wasn’t cheap.
The work was very well done. I love the windows and the work Reece Builders / Windows- St. Petersburg did.
Reece Builders/Windows provide a high quality window with excellent quality installation. They show up as scheduled, get the job done without any problems quickly that meets permit requirements. Excellent product and service provider. I will always go with Reece for my window and doors.
it all went very smoothly
Definitely recommend
The pricing was expensive. The work was great!
They get a 5 start from us. From the moment we had a sales person to the installation it was Amazingly very well
They were very professional, respectful, and efficient at all levels of the service
Everyone was great. They were helpful .
The quality and appearance of the windows is so impressive. The installation team did an amazing job. They were respectful of our home and property. They kept everything so clean during the process. They even took down our blinds to install the windows and put them back up after installation because we were not able to do that ourselves. We were so impressed.
Reece Builders / Windows- St. Petersburg is very professional and knowledgeable about their job.
Great windows.
They didn't know what parts were needed to build a window and had to charge me more than was originally estimated. Their installers didn't know how to speak English which was very frustrating.
They did a good job and the windows look great.
My only concern was that the crew was entirely non-English speaking. I was given a note saying that if I had any questions, there was somebody to call. But I was handed that note after the job was done.
I used Reece Builders to get new windows with the My Safe Florida Home program and I couldn't be happier. Salesman Josh was very personable, knowledgeable, and answered any questions I had. The installers were professional. They pointed out some damaged screens and stated they would be repaired at a later date. The last person who came to install the screw covers also fixed the screens. The windows look amazing and have definitely made a difference in the temperature and humidity inside the house. If I had to do it all over again, I would still pick Reece.
I was totally pleased, but even more pleased when the county inspector told me what a nice job they did.
The installer did a good job, but he had to work alone. I think Reece Builder/Windows needs more employees.
