A few minor bumps along the way but overall I like the process and the quality and craftsman ship seems good. Just fight for what you want, they will tell you "no we can't do something" as if it is set in stone but then you move in and see your neighbors have exactly what you wanted.

I am very happy with the quality of the home, and the entire home buying experience, from the sales to the closing, was a pretty smooth process. There were a few hiccups, but I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to buy a home

I was in the market for almost a year and I came me and my wife tomorrow Smith and w looked at the townhouse which is we like everything about it The location is amazing and we like the way the design from inside we were dealing with The property manager Debora she did really good job show us everything in regards the upgrade we did on our house she was so friendly and she’s really awesome and it’s very easy to deal with and she was in top of everything .If you in the market for a home I highly recommend Miller and smith .
Miller and Smith was touted as an upscale and professional builder of quality homes. I have found that to be a misrepresentation. From the fit and finish of my new home, it appears that they are in business of pushing out houses as fast as possible with little attention to detail.With that said, the location is fantastic and the sales help I received was great. The home fits my needs.
Overall, as far as the design is concerned and the layout, Miller and Smith is really good. That's why we chose them. The home buying process was awesome. I don't think I would've been able to buy the home if it wasn't for AnnTrisha. She was very good, even after the home buying process. It's so easy to meet with her and go over the whole thing. I think she was the reason I ended up buying it, but as far as the final concerns with the workmanship, there are questions. The quality isn't the best. The choices are not updates as they should be in these times. When you compare it to other things, the workmanship is lacking. There are things that came off in the first day. That's not expected in a $600,000 home. For that reason, I'm would be reluctant to tell my friends to buy if they're concerned about the quality of the work, but as far as the design they have the best design.

Miller & Smith did put its great workmanship in building this home and chose the appliances with the best ratings. The materials used provide ease and comfort as well as quiet and peace.
This is our second time buying from Miller & Smith. This time they are using a third party called Pro Home. Dealing with Pro Home has not been satisfactory. They called me to say we had 30 days to get a handy man in here to do a couple of things. One main thing was the hose for the ice machine on the back of the refrigerator was way too long. This caused it to be kinked and not working properly. They should have added this to the list and came to fix this. They would not add this to the list.
This would depend on the outstanding items that have yet to be completed. Upon completion of those items, the answer would go from a 2 to a 4.
Compared to many other popular builders in the metro DC, VA, MD area, Miller and Smith stands above them all in terms of design, professional services and follow through.
Although the process of purchasing the new construction with Miller & Smith was smooth, I would not recommend a Miller & Smith home to anyone nor would I purchase another one from Miller & Smith. This recommendation is mainly due to the quality of the workmanship. There was so many cosmetic and superficial imperfections that it made it hard to trust the bones of the home.

The service I received from Mary Cochran Miller and Smith's sales manager, as well as Caryn Grafton VP/Senior Lending Officer at Atlantic Coast Mortgage was above reproach. They both went above and beyond, are extremely professional and overall amazing. However, I was very disappointed in the workmanship of my home. Though it is a beautiful home/floor plan I expected and should have received more in regards to workmanship, especially at the price point.
Miller and Smith provided great customer service and made the understanding of purchasing a home for the first time simplistic and easy-going.

When you buy a new house, and invest over $100,000 in add ons, you expect your paying for the quality that comes with. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t the case. We hope customer service will assist us with this, but for now this is how we feel.
