Management to call me back when there was long gap to get wrap to trim windows.
Communication was horrible and for the amount we paid I would of expected much better service
A project that I was told would take 4 days is now on month 6 and still not completed. Poor communication from the company
The job itself took much longer to complete than originally stated. Originally told it could take 4-5 days, and it ended up taking over 6 weeks.
The quality of work was good, it's just that apparently short staffed.
I do not recommend K-Designers I am unhappy with their installation of my windows. Very very sloppy and non professional look when finished. looks like kindergarten kids did the sealant around the windows on to my siding and porch/walkways.
The work was poorly done. Was told the small stuff doesn't matter. Didn't finish the whole house. Windows are coming out not flush with house. Wiring is poorly and very unattractive attached to house. Broken slate at top of side of house has not replaced.
Looks great. Did it on the timeline they said they would.
The sales was a bit heavy, took too long. But the work was good.
The shower is perfect! I love everything about it.
The Windows are great. The keep the heat out when the sun is beating down on the windows which is keeping our house cooler. The windows look great.
Part of the caulking was not complete and they tried to blame it on a 7-year-old they said he made footprints on the floor of the shower
I called the Portland office manager to see what steps we could take to rectify a young installer's cutting - removing of the nailing strip from the windows. Instead of a discussion, I received a one way lecture on contracts. I have been a contracting officer for years with the US Army. I know and understand contracts. After not being able to discuss the issue, I finally said, it was obvious that the manager did not want to discuss and was forced to say goodbye, prior to hanging up.
There are numerous locations where siding was removed and patching was done, with no painting. I had a gallon of paint that I had previously purchased and the installer said he'd do it; he never returned and is not responding to my calls.
So far, I love the window. There are a couple areas where the seal may be broken, so they are supposed to come out and check that. I love all the new light coming in. The screens are fabulous on them.
They were thorough, and communicated the entire time of the installation.
I had to have a special floor pan designed for my house because of the way it was built. It uses 4×6 trusses to support the floor, and they cut a four-inch chunk out of one. The whole reason we had to have a center pan was to avoid doing that, so the communication between the work order and the installer was zero. I had to buy a $300 floor jack to fix that beam, so my house doesn't fall.
A 4×6 with a four-inch cut in it, is a 2×4; that is all you are left, so they destroyed the structure under my house. If I didn't have to go under the house for another reason, I would not have even known. I paid extra to have a pan made, special, for that room, so that was a little nuts.
They don't make a single piece wall as big as I needed, so we needed to add another wall to take up a small a space — seven inches; that was my thing to get done. However, apparently the project manager was on FMLA having a child, and when he came back, he was in a big hurry to get caught up, so it didn't give me anytime to finish preparing the room. The installed the shower in a room with no plaster on the walls and no floor, which meant all the other work had to be worked around a brand-new shower without damaging anything. It was a $25K shower; they could have given me a little more time to prep the room or a little more warning, but I got two weeks and only because I begged for an extra week.
The walls weren't finished, so it is still to bare sheetrock. Since they used bathroom caulk, I can't paint it. How do I add plaster when nothing sticks to bathroom caulk, so I can't paint it, I can't get the paster to stick — it is virtually impossible to make it correct.
If they had waited another week, it would have been plaster on the walls, the caulk would have been done by them to the finished wall.
I am stuck patching up a nasty mess. I have been working on it for two months since they left. When they emailed and asked for a review, I ignored it the first two times. They finally called asking why I wouldn't do it and I told them they destroyed the structure of the bottom of my house, didn't give me time to prep the room, and brought back a guy who had only done 14 installs. That is not an experienced person, hence all the other errors. The fixtures aren't even caulked to the wall, so I am going to have to caulk the fixtures myself or the water will run into the wall.
I called them and told them I was not happy, and they never returned my call. I asked them to send me an email letting me know when they would be here to review my complaint because I have a one-year install warranty and I wanted this stuff reviewed because it is wrong.
All they want is a positive review, and if they can't have that, they don't want to talk to you.
I am not happy with their responses to phone calls.
I'd recommend them to a friend because of their wonderful workmanship, and they cleaned up well.
It was a great experience. They did a great job. I am satisfied.
Bathroom window still doesn’t open. Workmen have tried to fix it twice.
Very friendly, prompt, always showed up when they said they would
Chris my project manager and Philip my installer did a great job.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience with K-Designers. From start to finish they did a professional, efficient and high quality job with high quality materials.
Pleased with the way Philip got the windows done in a day.
ALL WENT WELL! ONE QUESTION... ARE THE THREE WORKERS SUPPOSED TO FILL THE NAIL HOLES TO BE PART OF THE FULL INSTALLATION FEE???
The windows are high quality and were installed with care and kindness.
