Jim Black was easy to work with, and the quality of the contractors they used was great.

They were very prompt, attentive, and took care of the job quickly. The came in and cleaned up after themselves, and it was taken care of very professionally.

I found Jim Black construction through the Allstate contractor network to handle some fence repairs due to a windstorm. They were professional and the job was done with quality. One star off for a very slow process but I suspect that was shared between a few parties including the insurance company.

This project was a nightmare from start to finish with horrible communication through. Unbelievably stressful. The work had to be corrected multiple times. Once the new supervisor Sky came on, it improved which is why I gave this review a 1 vs 0. I could never get a straight answer on costs or timing. It took 14 months to restore two bathrooms and a small section of flooring and drywall. Come on!

They were on time, consistent, and thorough with their repairs. They took a personal interest in getting the best quality.

Not. Sure who Joan R. Is but I would highly recommend Jim Black Construction. They were efficient, cleaned up well, did excellent work, and completed the job quickly. I especially appreciated their excellent communication about the work.

Water damage at my home required a complete refinishing of hardwood kitchen floors - Jim Black Construction did outstanding work - floors look better than before, and a replaced section of flooring of course matches the old with the new finish. The firm was also very professional, kept to established timeliness and communicated well with me throughout the process.

I truly believe that Jim Black Construction knows how to run a restoration business properly. I think that JBC is better suited for larger projects versus my 60 sqft shower restoration. My opinion is that the portion of my project that JBC personnel did was just fine, however, the sub-contracted tasks of were poor quality and not thoroughly over-seen by JBC.

The project manager Greg Otto was very professional, thorough and accommodating. Alan Douglas kept me informed and scheduled of who was coming, he was very efficient in the work getting done. The both gentlemen were very good.

A year ago I had a water leak that damaged drywall, cabinetry, and tile. Thankfully, my insurance coverage was excellent and the insurance company sent Jim Black Construction (JBC) to asses the damages. Rob F was the project manager that came out and while surveying the damage he and I hit it off and I knew I wanted JBC to do the work. Rob, and the superintendent, walked me and my wife through the process from start to finish. They handled all the details with the insurance claims and made the process as stress free as they could.

The finished product was awesome and surpassed my expectations. We had a snag in the beginning which pushed my project out significantly. My original project manager didn't do his job and so everything started to fall through however once I got a new Project Manager everything was expedited and got moving again.

The repair process took over 5 months for a small water damage claim: moving a pipe, replacing a toilet, and patching a ceiling. While we appreciate having the job done, it took much longer than expected. Overall the workmanship and materials used were not as good as original.

Everyone from Jim Black was great - they explained the whole process and took care of everything in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.
