While the roof tear down and installation was quick and seems to be reasonably done (I don't know anything about roofs) that was the part that seemingly any company could accomplish. What I was sold on in choosing Idaho Roofing was their claim to have great communication before, during, and after the project and attention to detail. Both were severely lacking. When we were scheduling the job they stated they were going to come out on a date when we were going to be out of the country, so we immediately responded that we would like to move it back t least one day until we had returned. We received no response to that request. A week went by and we still hadn't heard back and were leaving for our trip so we reached out again with a start date of Friday May 2nd. On Thursday May 1, while we were still out of the country but our mother in law and children were in the house, they started loading shingles on to the roof and hammering boards to keep them up waking our kids who, since we had no notice this would be happening, had no warning as to what was going on. When we learned what was going on we reached out and told "supply is loading the material only, we are starting tomorrow morning". When I replied that this was nothing we were told about, we did receive an acknowledgement of and apology for the poor communication. Once the project began, we did receive a number of pictures and updates to their progress (although I was in the house and was well aware already) and they did tear off and install the roof completely in that day. But as they were finishing up we noticed a spot on our ceiling where something had pushed through the drywall. I sent a picture and two of the crew came inside to take a look. After going up into the attic they said that there was nothing they could see that caused it and that it may have been caused by the suppliers dropping the shingles on one of the trusses that pushed through the ceiling. I mentioned that that was unlikely because it wasn't there after the suppliers left and didn't appear until they were up on the roof. They offered no solutions other than to "call the supplier" to see if they could do anything about it. I am not sure how Idaho Roofers operate or subcontract but as far as I am concerned as a customer, you are the supplier. You are the installer, the seller, the supplier, etc. The crew then left stating that they would be back "tomorrow" because it was getting dark and they didn't get a chance to fully clean up. So the next day in the morning I sent a message asking when they would be coming to finish the clean up and get the supplies they left laying in our front lawn so i could plan my day and received a response that they would stop by Monday. This was frustrating because of what they had communicated the night before as well as the fact that there would be nails and trash and supplies in our yard, but somewhat understandable since it was the weekend. However Monday came and went with no one coming back. So did Tuesday. Tuesday night i sent a message checking in to see if anyone was coming back. The next morning at shortly before noon we got a message stating someone would come out to do an inspection and pick up their supplies. I responded that i was at work and not available to be there so they called and said we didn't need to be. When we returned home that night, the supplies were gone, no additional clean-up was done, and i have no idea if an inspection was completed as nothing was ever communicated to us about it. The next day, we received a message from the salesperson that he wanted to come by and "inspect the roof to make sure everything went as planned, drop off your warranty, the invoice and collect a check" which we scheduled for the next afternoon. When he arrived he did not inspect the roof (unless all the inspection entails is confirming from the ground that we still in fact had a roof). I let him know how disappointed i was in the poor communication throughout the process, the lack of follow through on getting their supplies and finishing cleaning up, and the damage they did to our ceiling. When i asked what he could do about any of that he stated he would "take that constructive criticism back to the team", which is of absolutely no help to me. He was however, happy to take my check for 21,000 dollars despite all of their failures. I knew that Idaho Roofing was not going to be the cheapest option but was willing to pay more for what i believed would be superior customer service and communication. Getting the opposite makes me feel like I was duped. Disappointed in the service for sure, but even more disappointed in their inability to take responsibility and try to make any of it right.

Yes they did a good job but doing quickly was more important than being safe and respectful of owners property. Dropped flashing that fell all the way through my kitchen causing unnecessary damage. Crew killed spots in my grass by whatever they rushed to carry, and there was cigarette butts all over my front driveway after.

Idaho Roofing provides top-notch service to their customers from the first call made to the completion of the job. Idaho Roofing tore down the existing 20 year old roof and re-roofed in approx 2.5 days with expedience and care. I did have 5 roofing companies bid this project and though Idaho Roofing was competitively priced, they were not the low bid. However, I had confidence that they would do an exceptional job and Idaho Roofing NAILED IT!

I was very pleased with the presentation provided during the proposal brief. All areas were covered including documentation and warranties. i highly recommend them as they were so helpful and responsive when asked for help with problems with my roof unlike the local roofers who didn't seem to care.

I felt like things could have been handled a little better. As far as clean up and stuff like that. A piece of trim work on the roof was broken. I was not informed about it. I found out about it two after the roof was done.
