I Was told I wouldn't need a burglar alarm and then after the fact I had to get one. I gad an alternative provider who had priced for no alarm and I I feel a bit baut and switched. Overall Im pleased with the policy and actually love my new burglar alarm although it was a hassle to implement so quickly.

It took seven phone calls and one on-line chat with Travelers and Homeservices staff and to add a 2018 Bentley to my policy for 10/19/25 to 10/19/26. On October 6, the Bentley was added to my policy for 10/6/25 to 10/19/25. It was already insured with Farmers for that time period. I wanted to add it for the above 25-26 dates. On 10/20/25 a Traveler's customer service representative figured out that there was no request for renewal for the 25-26 dates from Homeservices and took care of it for me.

When I called for a comparison of other insurance companies and Travelers to decide if I wanted to stay with Travelers or change for 25-26, it took nearly two weeks to receive the information from Homeservices. That was two for two of NOT customer service.

Extremely poor communication. One agent (Deja Seif) did not return multiple voicemail messages I left for her over a period of months, to her personal voice mail and with other HSI staff that I was able to speak to directly, live. A second agent (Frances Vega) sent me cancelation forms for my three policies with HSI via DocuSign. I opened the document within 1 minute of receiving it, returned it signed within 10 minutes of receiving it, and wrote a followup email immediately to that agent's HSI email address (francesv@longinsurancegroup.com) asking for clarification that I had canceled my umbrella policy correctly. No response! And the cancelation document was not acted on, so a few weeks later after receiving renewal notices from the carrier I had to call the carriers for all three policies to cancel all three policies over the phone. As if I had not even attempted to cancel them through HSI! I have changed agents and will never do business with HSI again, despite having been a claim-free customer of HSI for eight years. When neighbors and friends ask about who I use for insurance, I will be sure they know to avoid doing any business with HSI.
