This was the second house we hired Gouge Quality Roofing to install a new roof on within 2 years (because the first experience went so well).When my wife and I had our roof replaced on our old house 2 years ago, we ended up hiring Gouge after obtaining quotes from three companies. Although Gouge was not the cheapest, Caleb seemed very knowledgeable, honest and straight forward (nowhere near as shady as one other company we met with) and seemed confident in the product he sells. It ended up being such a great experience that we knew who to turn to when roof issues came up during an inspection of a new house we had contracted to buy early this year.We found out about the roof issues on a Friday. I texted Caleb that Sunday, and he responded that same day. He was out at the new house on Monday to do a much more thorough inspection and had an estimate to replace the roof done by Tuesday (just before the contracted inspection period ended), which allowed us to obtain some remedy concession from the seller. Although I am sure the fact we did business with Gouge before just two years prior had some effect, it still meant so much to us that he was willing to take a chance and his time to provide such great service to us during a very stressful time of negotiation.But the service didn't stop there. My wife and I had several questions about the roof for the new house throughout the process, particularly because it was for a house 120 years old. Caleb was always responsive to our questions, and everything he explained made logical sense. We felt very comfortable with all of his recommendations and explanations as we never felt like he was ever trying to get us to pay more or purchase stuff we did not need.Our realtor was so impressed with our experience and compliments for Caleb and Gouge that he even asked if he could refer one of his own clients to Gouge for a quote.Over our years of home ownership, we have had interactions with contractors for roof repair/replacement, HVAC replacement and windows replacement. I have never been anywhere near as impressed with any of those other companies as I have with Caleb and Gouge. I would recommend them to anyone.

Every person we interacted with - from the sales team, crew, office staff, and management - was courteous and professional. We only had one small issue arise during installation and it was corrected immediately. Anytime we had a question, our call was returned quickly. The crew arrived promptly each morning, worked hard throughout the day, and cleaned up each evening. Ours was a 3-day job and the owner came out the next day to inspect the workmanship. Overall, we're very pleased.

They did a perfect job, and had the area cleaned up so well that I didn't even realize.that they had already completed the work! We were very pleased with the efficiency, work ethic of the crew, and the quality of the work. Ours is a cape cod with attached garage and so, a lot of roof, yet the job was completed in less than two days. Cleanup was remarkable.
