They did a great job. I was happy with the service. I have no complaints.
When we got to the work on the rebuild, it took a lot of time to coordinate. Joel, the project manager, is the best project manager I have ever worked with in my life. I have worked in life development work for 36 years, and I work with project managers in my day job all the time. I have never seen anyone as good or as professional as Joel. He has very strong communication skills and is very good at coordinating pieces. There were a lot of people and vendors and also keeping me in the loop to know where things were at. He was phenomenal as a project manager, and his people are extremely good. They enjoy working with him as well, and it shows in their work. They all did a great job and I cannot complain about anything. Joel goes above and beyond, and he is great to work with.
They did a good job!
I'm assuming I dealt with the partner/owner. There was communication there, but I would have to say it was subpar. We had good conversations, but as far as the actual project goes, I felt like he was throwing numbers at the insurance company to see what sticks.
Half rate work. I had to call them several times to get them back to finish the job. They were asking for payment before the job was completed. The work that they completed was very poor and half-rate.
When Gold Star came into my house it was pouring rain outside and they left all my stuff outside and it got rusted and damaged. I had to go to the doctor for nerves because of Gold Star. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, especially the crew I had. When they brought my china cabinet back inside, I told them my stuff was not damaged I didn't have any children, there were scratch marks all over it they said it was damaged they drug my leather floor on the ground. I told them I don't have time to go thru this stuff to see what's missing or not missing. She said you just have to take the check or nothing. They didn't give me a choice. I should have had the opportunity to go thru my stuff and see what was damaged and what wasn't damaged. I would never recommend them to anyone. I'm going to my insurance right now arguing with them about what happened because Gold Star didn't do a quality job. I had a one bedroom, 750 sq. feet and all my stuff got damaged. I don't have any children or a dog so why is my stuff messed up? I recommend that they get highly trained by someone. It's like I got somebody off the street to do it. I don't care for Gold Star. I took a loss. Gold Star didn't take down all my fixtures. All-State told me they should have taken down my fixtures. They should have taken down my light fixtures and TV. So I have to buy all new fixtures. They should have taken it out. I got so upset, I had put something down in my house, it got damaged. They rolled it up and it got damaged. There was mildew all over my stuff and they could have saved it. They only gave me a percentage back. They didn't have to leave my stuff outside. That's what I don't understand. Everything I had was in mint condition and now it's depreciated. I'm very disappointed.
I would not give them any stars. I would give them less than 0.
Process was easy and quick from start to finish. Very happy with the work!
Gold Star made the process extremely easy.
Gold Star Property Restoration were really nice guys. They did a good job and we liked them.
The truly care about the needs of their clients
When someone has clothes and you have to go in and tell the customer to go to a hotel because of the mold, it wasn't Gold Star's fault. Initially AAA kept declining our claims. We said we had mold and it needed to be addressed, but he said we don't cover foundational leaks. It got worse and it took a 4th plumber to figure out it was a busted pipe going through the wall. We had mold and were getting headaches and the guy laughed about it. I didn't think it was that funny. Gold Star was going to do the demo, and they didn't tell us they were going to take my mom's comforter, sheets, or clothes out of the closet and put them in big industrial bags to put in a warehouse. You put them on hangers in a big box and move the box with the clothes on hangers like professional movers. That is not what was done. My mom's $1500 hearing aid is lost. We had coins around the window sills and one of the guys helped us find the coins, but they took everything and threw them in big black industrial bags. That is not the way you do things. They didn't label anything between my things and my mother's things. We just had to grab all the stuff and my mothers belongings so that wasn't done well at all.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the opportunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Gold Star Property Restoration as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
