Gen-Ex was established as a fully licensed and insured business in 2004 by Paul Antonou and David Johnson. Paul and David have been long time friends both with over fifteen years of experience in the trade. combined they have worked on countless roofs as laborers and shinglers gaining the experience needed to gain their contractors license and start building their own business.
Together they have built this company from the ground up establishing strict guidelines to stay up to date on safety and industry standards. Safety precautions we follow include and are not limited to:
Keeping the job site clean at all times.
Protecting your landscaping assets by building tables and tarping off any areas over your plant life.
Taking pictures of your property in its entirety before and after the job to ensure that any damage that preexisted is documented, protecting homeowner and Gen-Ex alike.
Creating and following an extensive check list custom to every job, and double checking every item on that list to get the job done right the first time. Also after completion, a Gen-Ex supervisor will walk through the job with the customer discussing all steps and answering any additional questions the homeowner might have.
We follow all appointed legislated safety guidelines and employees all wear compliant safety gear and harnessing on jobs with harness needs.

Gen-Ex recently installed new siding, roof and gutters on my home. Both teams provided excellent quality and friendly service throughout the process. All of my questions were answered. My project was completed on time and took care not to damage bushes around my house. I would highly recommend this company to any home owner looking to upgrade their property with Gen-Ex:s quality workmanship.

Greg Borchardt at General Exteriors worked tirelessly to get me a new roof based on hail damage. My insurance company initially denied the claim (only wanted to pay less than my deductible). Greg met with my insurance company 5 times ( or more...can't really remember) at my home and after a year and a half the insurance company agreed to a new roof. I could not be more pleased with the outcome! I have never reviewed any service but this is an exception. I would highly recommend GenEX. you won't be disappointed. The new roof looks great, and GenEX really went to bat for me. Thank you Greg and GenEX I truly appreciate all you did.

It was easy for me to make the judgement because they were excellent. I have been a homeowner for over 45 years and have worked with various contractors. General Exterior was the highest quality, highest technical level, and highest ethical level contractor that I have ever dealt with. One time when we were short on material the president of the company even went to get more materials. They were just excellent. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Areas Of Satisfaction - They exceeded all expectations. I am a hard judge, and use a lot of contractors. A lot of times I even turn away estimates. They were excellent in every way, from the crew to the salesman. They did a lot of work. They did a huge job with carpentry and replacing 3 doors. They just finished the work and it was excellent. The house looks great and we are very pleased. If I ever need more work, I would call them first.

Most AWESOME roofing & ground crew EVER!! GenEx is the roofing/exterior company to call for your hail damage or roofing needs! These guys humphed non stop for two days! Tarped all bushes/shrubs/ flowers & deck off, plywood in front off all windows, ground crew continually cleaning all debris, picked up all nails...AMAZING work! Thank you Paul, Dave & crew!!

These guys were outstanding. They were on time, they were courteous, my wife asked if they could attend to a very small item and they jumped on it no questions asked except to get her approval. Greg brought all the color samples my wife could have asked for and made sure we were informed and that everything went smoothly, which it did. Greg also went out of his way after the roof was finished to bring some touch up for the drip edge just in case we may need it in the future. Greg did a great and also made my wife very happy, which is not so easy to do.
