Our company embodies the American dream. Gabriel Garcia came to the United States in 1987 following civil strife in his homeland of El Salvador. With the language barrier and other challenges that face most immigrants, securing employment was difficult, in spite of Gabriel’s work ethic and dedication. In 1992, with a handful of workers, he struck out on his own in Prairieville, Louisiana and grossed $60,000 that year.
By putting his customers first and offering consistent, high-quality installation, Gabriel’s company grew rapidly at 30% per year over the next four years. By 1996, the company was at a point that professional management was needed to administer operations. Over the succeeding years, product and service offerings were expanded to serve more customers and fulfill more roofing needs throughout the Baton Rouge area. Both roof replacement and sheet metal divisions were added, as well as a sister company focusing exclusively on commercial contracts.
In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, hitting southeast Louisiana hardest of all. For the next two years, the Garcia Companies worked vigorously to help homeowners and businesses around Baton Rouge and all over South Louisiana repair their homes and return to some sense of normalcy. Even after the cleanup from Katrina was finally finished, business was still higher than pre-Katrina levels - a testament to the company's commitment to provide consistent, high-quality service at all times. Overall, they did a good job, and there were no major issues other than the water leak. The water leakage issue is the same as it was before they started. I have come to the conclusion that they weren't able to diagnose the problem or they didn't fix the right problem. However, I was impressed with the original guy that I signed the contract with, but shortly after, issues arose. They did a good job as far as the roofing work is concerned, but I feel the materials are similar to any other contractors. I could have gotten the same materials from another contractor for a cheaper price and a smoother process. Overall, I am satisfied with the roof, and we chose them because they were a reputable company.

It is the most professional organization I have ever dealt with for this scope of work. It is difficult to find people who are as dedicated to their work as they are. I would not hesitate to recommend them. It is just a shame that more businesses lack this level of professionalism. I don't have any relatives working for them, and this is totally off the cuff.

They got there pretty quickly before the summer started. The roof was not installed properly by another company in December 2021. It made a big impact. The roof wasn't stable. Garcia Roofing & Sheet Metal definitely helped me save a lot of money before the rainy season came by preventing damage. They communicated really well.

I had one issue. I was never informed about the devastation in my attic. I am still cleaning up. When they pulled up my old roof there was a mess that fell through to my attic. I'm still cleaning it up. There is mud, tarp paper, and nails all over my stuff in my attic. They said they will communicate that in the future.

Garcia was very professional and on time. I would definitely recommend them. The only thing I would say is that because of the area that was affected by the hurricane they had a lot of work. It took a little while to get us scheduled and get the work done. Once they were able to get to us, they completed everything that evening. We are 100% satisfied with the service from Garcia Roofing & Sheet Metal.

We had our roof installed seven days before Hurricane Ida hit. We didn't lose a single shingle during a category 4 hurricane. That goes to show the quality of the materials, and the installation. The job was done right! We are very happy. We had neighbors that lost it all in that hurricane, and we had not a shingle missing!

The worst experience I had with a roofing company, poorly organized. There was not one designated area to collect the roofing debris. Roofing materials were tossed down on all 4 directions. Not all debris was picked up at the end of the job. Many of my window panes were broken and badly scratched.

The salesman was phenominal. However, the project manager was awful didn't show up for a scheduled meeting laughed and said he was busy, nails left everywhere, shingles left all over my front porch, a soft spot was found in the roof by my husband, they forgot to install a downspout, they installed one of the down spouts to our fence instead of to the house!
