They were very professional and did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. I am very satisfied with the work.
We were extremely pleased with the management of our remediation and remodeling of the house that had been damaged by water. The workers were excellent and accommodated our schedule. I highly recommend this company.
They were very attentive and had great communication throughout the entire project. All of their contractors are very professional. We are extremely satisfied with the work they did.
They were very professional.
Overall, they were good. There were a few hiccups.
They are thorough and professional, and the quality is excellent.
The reason I would not recommend Florida Catastrophe is because of the issues that I had with the original contract that the project manager sent to me. I read over and signed it line by line, so I knew exactly what was to be done at my home. I'm a very detail-oriented person. I was home every single day when the construction and repair people came. After they would leave each day, I would take my cell phone and take videos and still pictures of what was done each day. There were several things I took up with the project manager. He did correct it. When they finally finished the job, Vetor, the project manager, came to my home. I had to sign to say I was satisfied with the job. I reviewed it with my pictures to show what was not done and expressed the problems. On the original agreement, it stated they were going to remove and reset the chandelier in the kitchen dining room and play area. There was a charge of $110.34 charge for each chandelier. They had to redo the ceiling downstairs due to the water damage and was why they would have to remove and reset the chandeliers. During the process of redoing the ceilings, they had to put all this plastic on the walls and floors. I appreciated that. I have videos and still pictures on my phone. They never removed or reset the chandeliers. If they thought otherwise or if the chandeliers were fine, they could have informed me, but no. That was not what was said. I spoke with Vetor about it, and he asked what they could do about it. I asked him to remove the charges. Another issue from the original contract was they were to remove and reset all the blinds. There were blinds in the play area, kitchen, living room, and drapes over the sliding glass door. The charge was $25-$35 per blind. I had pictures showing the blinds were still hanging up behind the plastic. It turned into the same thing about removing the charges on the claim. They didn't remove either. I told Vetor I didn't want those charges to be filed on the claim because it was going to jack up the claim and in turn, make my homeowner's insurance skyrocket my rates because is claim is jacked-up. Vetor said, "Yes ma'am. We will." The other thing that I'm, really upset about, which I'm going to call Vetor about again since I already spoke to Jeremiah with Alacrity about it, is when the washing machine overflowed it bled into my husband's office adjacent to the laundry room. It didn't damage the entire room, but part of it. All the carpet pad in that room, from the original contract, was to be replaced. That is what I signed and expected to be done. The day came for the carpet pad to be replaced. Vetor and one of his vendors, Sidney, were there. They began speaking in another language. Vetor was hand-gesturing at the carpet while they were speaking. When they were finished, I asked Vetor what they were talking about, since it was my home and I liked being in the know. Vetor said since all of the carpet pads didn't get wet, I told Sidney only a small portion of the pad needs to be replaced. He said the whole room didn't need to be replaced. Vetor and I took out the original contract and reviewed it together. He asked me what they were to do, and I told him I wanted him to do what his contract stated, which was to replace all the carpet pads in that room. He said that they would do that. I didn't want to be a meany. Sidney took up the carpet, and it didn't need to be replaced. We talked about it and Sidney said he would. He told me I needed to go downstairs because the process would kick up a lot of dust that wouldn't be good for me. I went downstairs. When I came back up, the carpet was already down, so I couldn't see the carpet pad. Low and behold, the carpet was bubbled at the seam where the office goes out into the hall. So then, they were going to replace the carpet in the office and the hall. When you live in a house for 9 years, it's hard to find the carpet that matches exactly what you had previously. My husband and I were not happy about that. My husband stated we could monetarily bite the bullet and take what they would allow us to and pot up from our funds what it would be to put down vinyl planking. So, that's what we did. I didn't want to use Florida Catastrophe, even though they had a contractor that could do vinyl planking. I didn't want to do anything else with them. As it turned out, I hired another company. When that company came and had to pull up the carpet in the office, they saw that the carpet pad was not indeed replaced. They only replaced a portion of it. That makes me mad because that is what Vetor and I specifically talked about! What makes me so mad is that I'm an honest person. I've never cheated anyone, and my word is good. I do not appreciate Vetor or Sidney, because they both knew what Florida Catastrophe's contract said. The truth came out. I have pictures showing they didn't remove and replace all the carpet in the office. I do not appreciate being misled or lied to about what the contract stated. Whoever sees this, I hope gets an awakening because someone needs to speak to Florida Catastrophe. Also, on the original contract, there was a charge for a dump truck for $298. I understand they don't know ahead of time what exactly is going to be done. I understand there are changes along the way. SO when Vetor brought me the final contract, the dump truck charge was still on there. I have security cameras all along my property. I told Vetor the same thing. There has never been a dump truck on my property. I saw exactly how much trash they had, and it could have fit in the back of my Suburban. It was two large plastic bags and a chunk of carpet. A dump truck was not needed. Vetor stated they had to charge something for hauling the debris away. I told him I understood that, but not $298. I don't ever want to deal with them ever in my life.
They did very professional work and were timely.
The people from Florida Catastrophe are very professional and very personable. They did the work that they said they would do.
There wasn't anything that didn't please me. They were the nicest people. They were really courteous and cleaned everything up. I had nothing but good from them. They pleased me well.
It would be helpful to let others know what experience I had. I was shocked they knew what they were doing in my home was harmful to my kids and did not tell me. They were recommended by my insurance company. I was extremely dissatisfied with the experience.
I would like to thank them for assisting with the cleanup.
Florida Catastrophe were exceptional!
Tim Parker was excellent. He sent members of his crew to do the work. They were on schedule and communicated wonderfully well. Marco is outstanding with his work ethic and craftsmanship. He did a beautiful job laying our floors. Angie Rountree was very helpful and cooperative dealing with the insurance company. She was patient and communicated with us about the balance and what funds the insurance needed to release. The level of customer service from the first person we dealt with all the way to the last with the payment was amazing. I have been so impressed with their great communication. We would use them again in a heartbeat!
All of the representatives at Florida Catastrophe were professional and courteous. They completed the job in a timely fashion, they kept everything very clean, and they were professional.
They were great.
I was hesitant at first to sign the contract, but I am glad I went with Florida Catastrophe. If I ever need any repairs done again, Florida Catastrophe will be the first company I call. They are very patient, courteous, and understanding.
Buyer beware. I had constant issues in dealing with this company and I would not use them again.
The timeline dragged out. It took them four months to get started and there was only one worker the entire time.
I am very satisfied with the work that was done. I called Paul to tell them they did a good job. I was really impressed. They cleaned up and there was no mess.
