We hired Duckstein Contracting in April 2024 after a water leak damaged our kitchen. The demolition crew did an excellent job and worked efficiently. Unfortunately, the experience drastically declined once the rebuild began.The rebuild started at the end of June, and issues quickly piled up. Our hardwood floors had to be reinstalled three separate times due to poor workmanship. The entryway and bathroom tile also had to be removed and redone three times because of improper installation. A section of drywall took nearly two months to finish, and the crew never taped off rooms—dust and debris spread through the house, including the entire second floor, covering everything.We dealt with multiple plumbing mistakes as well. The dishwasher was not hooked up correctly, causing soapy water to leak onto our brand-new flooring, and the refrigerator water line was never connected. They eventually had to rip open drywall again to re-plumb what should have been done correctly the first time. On top of that, our front door—less than a year old—was damaged when a worker used construction materials to push open, requiring insurance involvement.After months of two workers in our home with ongoing issues and repeated fixes, we finally had to stop the project because it was getting out of hand. The only positive experience we had was with the father-son team who installed our kitchen cabinetry—they did quality work and were professional.Aside from them, I would advise others to be extremely cautious before hiring this company. Our experience was overwhelmingly stressful and disappointing.

Took 6 months to complete job as I had an small job and was entered on the bottom of the list. Also, They had to come back out to correct mistakes, split floor, refrigerate left unplugged for an hour. Once I asked if the would replace the food the plugged it back in.

They were quick and very efficient. They explained to me what they were doing, what the different machines were for, and how long they needed to leave everything. They put down protection on the floor while they disconnected my dishwasher to make sure no more water got on the floor. The guys were really polite too. I would strongly recommend them.

The techs showed up early, were very careful to cover the floor, and furnature.They did their work and set up the drying equipment quickly.They stayed in touch, returned in 2-3 days and removed all the equipment, cleaned up, they even mopped the hardwood before leaving.

The workers who did the remediation work were very friendly, and very respectful of our property that was not damaged by the supply line break.

I had a frozen pipe under my sink in the kichen. That leaked into my game room downstairs. I called Erie Insurance, they sent Duckstein Restoration to me. I'm so blessed that they did! All the guys that came to my house were polite and respectful. The father (Regis) and Son (Eric) team that came and did the repairs on the damage, were great. So nice and did an amazing job! Put my furniture and stuff back, cleaned up and were so professional. Like I said, so Blessed to have had a great team behind me. During project they were very on top of issues.

The first person, I guess an estimate employee talked a good game, like they would move furniture etc to see if there was damage. We even offered to clear the displays that were on it. She said there was no need they would take care of that, also. Well, she was correct, WE did not need to remove because the two display shelves were NEVER touched. In fact, we had to actually tell them to get out of the truck before they left because there was a whole patch of drenched carpeting that even the first person had written up as water damage. First we were told they tested and it was fine, then, after we insisted they test in front of us, of course, it was water soaked. When I complained to the estimator she told me not to worry, she knows they did their job.

Duckstein has made an unplanned emergency repair into a well organized, timely, professional, and clean repair process.
