I am not happy. Craig Van Lines moved me from Spotsylvania to Fairfax and then to Missouri, and I am not happy. I found items of mine broken, and I am still finding things broken. I was quoted $8,033 for them to move me to Missouri, and when I was presented a bill once I got to Missouri, it was $9,000. Whoever quoted me was basing it off 6,000 pounds, but the truck weighed 6,000 pounds. The first thing to come off the truck was my pickup truck, it is an old truck, but the man who took the truck off the trailer left the windows down on a windy day, and it tore the ceiling of the truck all to ****. The glass in the gun cabinet was broken, and I noticed the other day when I was in my shed that one of my fishing pole had a chunk of wood missing. I haven't unpacked everything yet to see what else was damaged in the move.

The estimator offered me a quote; I went with that quote number. When they came to pick up the items, I was going to add two televisions and wanted to know the difference; I also let them know we might be transporting four or five cases of water. When the move came, we decided not to do the cases of water. The estimate, at the time of picking up the items, was almost $2,800 more. I received a bill of lading on November 20, and I responded to the email on November 22; no one has contacted me yet. I called the office and spoke with Cindy. She said she would speak with Jack, and Jack would contact me, but I have not heard from anyone. I got the full replacement insurance.

Easy to deal with. Fair prices. Good communication that made us feel confident in their service.

Everyone was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. From the estimate Mr. Craig gave and personally came to our home to our moving crew! They made our move out of state a great experience! Thank you!!!

The problem I had with Craig Van Lines is that when the guy came in and was done, he quoted one price, and the price increased by $2,000. Make sure you get the final price because I didn't think that was right to do.

For three generations of my family Craig’s has been amazing partners in the big transitions in life. We are forever fans.

Most of day of crew were very good on the move out. Move in crew of two were great. Price almost doubled from the estimate which was an unwelcomed surprise. Person who gave us an initial estimate underestimated the total weight by alot. Move out crew disassembled a treadmill half way that I have been unable to get back together yet. May have to file a claim with insurance. Wife saw one crew member on move out "throw" a mattress down our stairs instead of carrying it. When he saw that my wife witnessed this he just kind of laughed. Did not place runners on newly carpeted stairs requiring us to have to spot clean areas.

They were efficient, timely, and nothing got broken.

Although the men were careful, I don't think they knew the quality of items they were wrapping. One oil painting from the 1800s was wrapped in a blanket and then inserted into a box. I told them NOTHING can touch the canvas itself; well, the blanket touched the canvas and the box pressed against the canvas; when unwrapped, the canvas had stretched slightly. To fix that would require at least $1000 to restretch the canvas, and doing so could impact the paint (chips, etc.). They said they knew what they were doing. But I believe they had not been exposed to fine art and therefore did not know the extra care it would need.

I booked this company based on a recommendation…and I will do others the same favor. Great company. Great service.

I was disappointed about how my belongings were handled and the lack of care taken in my property. Please see my comments at items 4 and 5.

Movers broke my headboard because they were negligent. Company offers $50. If I knew that I hired an unreliable company with inexperienced movers then I guess I would’ve purchased additional insurance on top of the over $3000 that I spent for the move.

Ease of hiring, and they showed up promptly to pick up items to be shipped.

Everything was straight forward and clear. No upcharges or surprises. I felt very confident that they would handle our move with care!

The provided excellent service, they were very dependable, well priced, and really hard working dedicated movers. It was the best experience we have ever had moving. They were great to work with, and we feel very blessed to have found them .

When Craig Van Lines comes to your house to evaluates your move, everything is documented on a computer and before the representative leaves he will provide you with a quote and explain the quote and move process. You do not have to put down a deposit which was fantastic for me. If you have any questions call the office and the staff will answer your question in a very professional manner. My total experience with Craig Van Lines has been outstanding.

Well, we started out late, more than an hour after the “window I was given” which was ok. The foreman was strong, courteous and knowledgeable. The other two did not speak English so it was very frustrating. The woman did not pack or unpack carefully. On arrival, she just stashed items in closets and rooms where they didn’t below. She was in a hurry to unpack picture frames, and just stacked them, causing several to be damaged. The foreman eventually corrected her. We paid for three people but actually got 2-1/2 because she didn’t move anything.

Fred and Leslie are awesome, we were given great service, they were able to accommodate us on a last minute move and their pricing was great.

I will never use a moving company, the only time I have had no issues is when I pay for a pod and hire packers.
