Hello Champion,
The email I received from you on March 28th stating that my door has been completed and is at the local warehouse ended up being manufactured with the incorrect size. This is after the salesman and installation manager came out and measured the front door. The installation team even showed up with the door on April 4th and after unloading it measured the door one last time only to discover that someone made a mistake "somewhere" and the door ended up manufactured at the wrong size. This mistake could have easily been avoided at the factory and would have saved time and money for Champion and not a good look to show up at our home with the wrong door after I made a third payment. I was assured by our Installation manager that the correct door would be ordered and manufactured immediately and we would be kicked up to the top of the queue. I then received another email on April 15th informing me that our door has been completed and is at the local warehouse. I waited a little over a week before reaching out to Eric only to be informed that the April 15th email was automated and not the correct door after all. The miscommunication and mishaps were not what we were expecting going with a big company like Champion. That is why we chose you to begin with rather than try and cut corners by using a big box store. We don't want vacation vouchers and we don't want to buy the incorrect door at cost or spend anymore money with Champion until the correct door is installed. So far the windows have been great and we are happy with them. But I believe your company needs improvement with door orders and your email automated system to avoid mis-haps like this for future customers. At this point it's about 6 weeks since we were assured the correct door would be ordered and manufactured and put at the "top of the queue" and so far no one can give me an answer as to when the door would be complete. Definitely not what we were expecting going with Champion.
Thanks,
Charles
I appreciated how a sales representative came to the house. It’s a very old house, with unique features. Another smaller, Austin based company wouldn’t come out, just asked for photos.
Poor communication. Told one thing by the sales person which was then ignored later which resulted in the correct plan being sent to manufacturing. Told 98% when the framing was complete, but still missing all glass, so I would not say that is only 2% left.
My room looks incredible and the work was done quickly and efficiently.
There was a problem with my original contract, but Clayton, the Champion representative, listened to my issue. He was able to solve the problem and issue a new contract that was acceptable to me.
The timeline was longer than expected
Kept their words
Definitely will recommend to friends and coworkers
Terrible project management. Terrible communication. Lack of knowledge. Project has taken more than double the initial timeline, and final inspection is still not complete. I have had to GC much of this project myself and communicate daily or weekly with the city permit office, contractors, and champion management to push this project along. It has been an extremely frustrating and exhausting experience. This process started in March of this year. The project was projected to be completed in July. It is now November, and we are still awaiting final inspections and corrections to electrical work that was done incorrectly. There were no weather delays, no shortage of material or labor. No legitimate reason for the delays. The only reason for delays and mistakes was lack of communication, supervision and attention by Champion.
Very likely to recommend if one is able to handle the wait time
We are extremely pleased with our new windows.
The flooring was not done by the contractor as promised and contract.
Overall experience wasn’t great even though end product is solid. The process, timing and expectation management couldn’t have been much worse without me cancelling.
We love our new windows. Good quality and beautiful product. We can have to window coverings open during the day and enjoy the sunshine without worrying about too much heat.
Thank you Champion Windows.
Everything so far seems to be built well and looks great. Should be a nice addition to the house for entertaining and just enjoying in general.
For sure, extremely happy with the well rounded experience from the knock on my door to the final Thank you of placing my windows!
Such an easy process. Clean, polite, very knowledgeable installers.
These are fabulous windows. I had windows from Champion put in upstairs ten years ago, and I went back and had them done downstairs. They hold up well, and are easy to open. They are great windows.
Schedule--took over one year to finish
Didn't do the work the way I wanted. Ended up with ugly EMT conduits for the electrical wires while I was promised a neat look. I offered to help by removing rocks out of way but constriction manager declined
Mistakes in measurements. Center column was off by several inches
Electrical work was not up to code. I found out last week that they stripped romex (NM-B) and put it inside EMT. This not code compliant. They were supposed to use THHN.
Door height is not lining up with other wall
The installer damaged low voltage wiring I had electrician install for sensors. I lost time/effort and ~$100 of cost for sensors/wires
I had a bunch of problems with my installation because of a local contractor, and not only did Champion make good and get a better contractor, but they resolved everything to 100 % satisfaction, and I was grateful for that. The end product was exactly what I wanted.
slow to respond and took three guys into the night to complete install of windows
We have now put Champion Windows in two buildings on our property. We are really satisfied. It really helps with our electric bill and really makes the house look beautiful.
Terrible!!!!!Everything
I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with your scheduler, Terry's dishonesty. He did not inform the installers nor the salesman, Eric Freiert, from San Antonio that I WOULD NOT BE HOME Monday afternoon. The time for installation was Monday morning NOT MONDAY AFTERNOON!!!!!!
Contractor filed necessary forms and documents with the city and the HOA.Installation job was done quickly, correctly, and neatly with good quality materials
