My experience is that there was not a lot of project management. As the customer, I had to push for the timeline from Chad Smith Construction, and it should be the other way around. The project management should communicate to the customer in advance about how the project was to be handled. However, I had to request for the timeline and the followup was basically by me. The quality is good from the workers. It took two months, not including the application for the permit, and I understand the permit takes awhile, but once the permit was approved it took two months. They told me upfront it was a small job, but it took two months. We were leaving for a trip, and I didn't want this to be hanging. The whole job could have been done in three weeks, but it took two months.

Jamie at the office was great, but I think they charged me for some things that were paid by the insurance company.

I had a really great experience working with Chad and all his team including Jamie and Brandon. From the start to finish, they are so very responsive, excellent communication. Thank you for your services.

They were very attentive to my wants and needs and their staff is very professional.

Even though I requested a schedule man times, I never got one. It took 16 months to get the work done.

You would need to follow up with every steps after you sign the contract e.g. When the door is ready, when will the carpet come, when will the window arrived.

Chad Smith's employees are very courteous and respectful. They did a good job when changing our kitchen floor to tiles. They are very respectful of our concerns and take into account to fix even minor issues to our satisfaction. There was a delay in starting the work, which can be improved, but when it started it was finished as per the schedule. Thanks to Chad and the team, and their good work.

Due diligence is crucial. Ask for recommendations/phone numbers from former clients . Make sure that the contract has all your expectations listed. Watch billing details!. Require a personal walk -through for all progressive payments. They can do good work.

The scheduling was so bad at the beginning that it was tough. I considered dropping them. Once they started working though, it was fine.

I found Chad Smith Construction and his employees to be very professional.

I had to have the measurements corrected. They put me in touch with the guy they were getting the materials from directly and I was able to get him the correct measurements. I know it is during COVID but it did take them from March to September. Most of that was radio silence because they were waiting for us but we did not know that. It took too long and we are still fixing some things.

The finished product is beautiful. The workmanship is superb.

I would never recommend this construction company to anyone. I know a lot of people. Their workers would do just enough and leave the project sitting for months. If I did not call, email, complain to the insurance company our home would still be sitting unfinished. The communication with them is awful. Now I dropped the ball one time with matching the color of the carpet, however that is nothing compared to their operation of business. Our house was left unfinished so much with no work being done that our neighbors were asking what is going on. If you use them, better get the conversation in writing and keep all your emails. Do everything by email because that is your only communication. Return phone calls don't happen right away unless you keep calling. I work a full time job and had to deal with this unprofessional construction company. I am the mouth piece for my mom who has Alzheimer so you can imagine. One thing I will mention. When they do come and do the work it is good. Use with caution.

Shawn, who was the project manager, was very nice. Chad Smith should never get rid of him. He is a very personable person. He came around and helped with all of this stuff from our fire. He eased my mind in everything. Sometimes, they were off but it was not them, it was the weather or something else. I really appreciate them very very much.

Chad Smith Construction, Inc. did a good job on the project. However, he should update the customer on what is going on. I know the process is a little hectic but I never heard that the process being approved by my insurance carrier until I called them. He should have let me know if the process was going to take longer. I am very satisfied with the work and the installers. The installers were very nice and very professional.
