Hello. Terrible communication between workers and C&L office.
Workers smoking marajuana on our property while my wife ran to Home Depot for them. They left the marajuana stuff on my patio furniture. Could not reach the company to report due to being on a Friday and office was already closed for the day. Pictures to prove as well.

My salesperson was very helpful. I had a problem with my septic tank cover possibly being in the why of the deck. He came back and made some adjustments with the design and it worked great. The installation crew was also top notch. I would recommend C&L Ward to everyone.

The installation process and end product met our expectations; however, the pre-installation process was challenging including: initial consultation, development of the plan (coordinating customer input with various sales people, outlining a plan that reflected what was discussed, and reviewing the plan to ensure accuracy based on what was agreed on)

The project was completed by contractors who did not speak English and who were not supervised. The work quality was an issue.

C&L Ward was difficult to work with. I always had to keep calling them; I had to call them to bill me; they were fine with letting me wait weeks on end with a hole in my house. I had to fight for them to come out on the date they originally told me.

Exceed our expectations in every aspect.

They did a great job.

They did a professional installation.

They are very professional and on time. I am entirely satisfied with the work they did.

Coordinating the work made things flow. Lining up the next project ahead of time made the process more efficient.

The construction crew was here on schedule and kept me informed each day of their progress and what would come next.

The sales staff that visited our house made us feel heard and understood, not to mention feel like we’ve known each other for years.

C&L Ward is quality driven when working on your home projects. They are very professional and do final inspections to ensure everything is good at the end of the work.

It was very good and they did a terrific job. I have had decks put in a few years back and they did great job both times.

They did an excellent job, and they have done work for me before. I had a deck put off the basement to match the previous decks they built for me. I knew the decks would match by having them doing the work for me again.

Always on time.

They are wonderful people, but their follow through could be improved.

C&L Ward weren’t very good about showing up for the job, and the job quality wasn’t very good either.

Horrible customer service after a disappointing experience with your contractor. We were offered minimal concessions after the contractor walked off the job (Day 1) because he wanted more money and then left a large amount of debris (metal shards, nails, garbage, and cigarette butts in our yard/landscape/decking after a siding job. WE always had to initiate communication and ask for updates. The job started approx 3 weeks AFTER the initial estimate for completion. We feel we were given an inaccurate estimated date to get our business over a competitor.
We used C&L despite being priced 20% higher than the competitor because we were provided a better date and promised professionalism & exceptional care to detail -which we did not experience.

They did a great job from beginning to end.

They did work for us in the past 3 years ago, and we are very happy with C&L Ward.

I have already recommended C&L Ward to three friends.

The follow up is where this company failed. Had to make several phone calls to have someone come out and look at a few issues with new deck.

Firstly, I'd like to say that the deck build was great and the installer was amazing.

As far as the disappointments, the salesperson did not include some of the finishing items. The deck was going to be smaller so some of the house was left exposed with no plan for C&L to finish it. When I brought this up during the build a sales person charged me an extra 300 dollar to put up a piece of wood that not only looked terrible but was taken back down when the deck went up. I was basically charged for nothing. There also was no plan for finishing the siding where it met the new deck. It was left unfinished and we had to figure it out. Again, not on the deck builder, but on the sales team that did not quote this completely.

My BIGGEST issue was the demo crew. They hit our drain tiles (denied it and cut them out), hit an electric line, which they knew was there, and worse, they hit the house with their machine. If they had measured the holes correctly, they would not have hit the drain tiles and likely would not have been close enough to the house to hit it. Tony, the deck installer, was so great at managing the first two issues and the crews that came in to fix them. The fix that they ended up doing for the house damage is OK, but I feel like they should have resided the back side of the house. Each installer that came to the house told us stories of how this demo crew had messed up at other locations and how builders were requesting NOT to have them on their jobs. It makes me pretty upset knowing that this was known but they were sent to my home anyway.

So.. the installation, Amazing, the rest?.. C&L failed even though they DID fix the issues created by the demo crew.

Professional and kept us updated

The whole experience was much more enjoyable than I thought that it would be. Todd was very knowledgeable, answered our questions, and did not put any pressure on us to make a purchase. Ashley was top notch in keeping us informed about the progress of our project. I really appreciated being kept informed throughout all of the steps. The installers were friendly, professional, and excellent at their job.

Great company to work with. Everything went very smoothly from beginning to the end.

C&L Ward is a great company. They do excellent work. Great customer service. All around a great company.

The communication all thru the process was great. Love my doors.

Fast and efficient service

The worker was very efficient and took time to explain his work. He completed the task completely.

Excellent workmanship. The person who built our deck was Tony, who was exceptionally hardworking. He had no problems answering any questions we had along the way of the build. Looking forward to working with this company again in the future.

C & L Ward did a great job in a timely and professional manner

Over half the screws are rusted in there months,gap in corner boards

Some communication issues but good for the most part. Initial detail work on project was a little sloppy but was corrected.

Screws were left sticking up and ahurricane tie was missed completely and we found it on the ground. I expected better workmanship for the price we paid

Professional and job done in a day I was impressed.

They were very professional, knew what they were doing, answered all my questions, and did very well.

Not much of a follow up after job was done, We had questions about the job but have not heard anything from the company or i crew.
