I didn't realize this company had been bought out from the previous owners who were excellent. The sales person and designer who did the colour co-ordinating are excellent and worked for the previous owner. The overall look is very eye appealing from the street. My $34,000 project started Nov 2016 and there are still two repairs to be made which include baseboard that was torn off to put drywall up inside the entrance area and a shingle that blew off the north side of the loft. I have to text the project manager to push the two man crew who did my job. I have had to contact the project manager over & over as he does not physically follow up and assumes from what his construction crew say, they have already finished the job. The quality of work is questionable as it has been pointed out by several neighbours & friends who know construction, that on the main entrance side of the house where everyone comes up the sidewalk to the door, the eye catches the four Hardie Board seams that end directly above each other on the siding. Some new shingles on both the north and south sides have blown off the loft three times, and a large vent blew out of the attic area past the windows and landed on the roof as well. Each time, I have had to ask for this to be done properly. I am still waiting on the last one to be put back in place for a good six weeks. Even when the crew comes, they are in a hurry or don't have the equipment to do all that is needed, and so it drags on. Unfortunately, I paid them in April with the project manager's promise the last three deficiencies would be finished the next week. One of my neighbours wants to do the outside of his house but I would not recommend this company and have him disappointed also.
Excellent quality in every component of services provided from sales to design support to onsite crews and project management
The job was done in December and January. It took quite a while but weather was cold (-20C to -25C) and it snowed quit a few times so that is understandable. There were a few minor issues about materials and trim finish but Boulevard management provided solutions that seem to be OK. It will take at least one season and maybe more to really evaluate the James Hardie products claimed durability versus vinyl siding against the weather and elements. Overall communication and co-operation was good. I would recommend Boulevard Exteriors to others as a professional and qualified contractor.
Vanessa gave us a fair and realistic quote that Boulevard honoured throughout the process. We were kept aware of any changes and adaptations by Erik and Jason who were always there to answer our questions and explain the process. We never doubted our decision to hire Boulevard and were happy working with them from start to finish.
