I wish that this wounderful group of profesinals were closer to me.
So far so good. 😊
I thought the quality of the work was subpar. The job site was left in a sloppy state - there were paint spots all over my new vinyl floor which I had to clean up myself, dust and debris all over the floor, and my dryer vent was not secured.
My basement flooded less than a week before Christmas so prompt response was key. Blue Sky was efficient pleasant and knowledgeable. Helped me understand the water mitigation process and how moisture is measured in materials like Sheetrock or wood.
The mitigation department is great. The repair side is hapless.
Shoddy workmanship. Let’s begin with that first off our stove was damaged when they moved it in or out of the bathroom where it was stored they wrecked a wall that had to be replaced which they did. But in the process they broke the leveling legs off of the stove and did something to the inside parts rattling around inside and it wouldn’t turn on. We had to go out and buy a new stove so we have something to cook on as we have eight people living here. I was told by Ron that we had to contact Nationwide direct to get that covered.
We also had damage to the brand new cabinets one place where the wood was split on the frame putting in the hinges and then there was another one the hinge completely came off on the corner cabinet.
Also there was an issue with our sink where they got the compound onto the countertop in the corners of the sink and there’s also a gouge in the countertop the water appears to be leaking into.
The work took way too long to complete. There were many weeks when they didn’t show up at all.
They also left a space that they didn’t cover next to the stove and when it was pointed out to Ron he had them come back and the piece they put in didn’t cover completely.
All in all we are very displeased with the work. In light of the fact that we had custom cabinets in here that were made of solid wood and they replaced it with the cheapest thing they could find from Home Depot or wherever you got it.
So that is why I would never recommend them to anybody.
Not even if they were the last contractors in the world !
We used them three times, quality of work is superb. The workers are courteous and came exactly when they said they would be here. Excellent experiences while fixing three different problems.
I have yet to see one iota of work done on my house, and it is 4 MONTHS after the fact of the damage done. I am thoroughly disgusted.
!
Extraordinary delayvin filing and communicating estimate wth insurance company, withovrrsight contacting, and with BlueSky’s own subcontractors. Our choice of flooring was limited to obes available with Home Depot, as well as all the construction materials. They used cut rate delivery drivers and made several mistake and omissions. The Installers were not “highly skilled” and were often delayed, called off to other projects, , as they and the 4 other subcontractors were not responsible to us, or the project coordination. The BluSky manager made extraordinary efforts to compensate , but was under the gun of cost cutting policies
. The project which was supposed to be within weeks of the initial estimate bid in July, was completed only 2 days ago!
Having your house damaged due to circumstances beyond your control was surprisingly upsetting. I did not think I would be nearly as affected as I have been. My sweet house flooded. Stuff got wrecked. But every time I think about it, my next thought is always a feeling of security and relief knowing that the house was quickly dried out by BluSky, cleaned up, the basement contents removed by BluSky's careful packers and stored in an onsite box, and then the damaged walls were torn out in anticipation of complete repair. I think BluSky is going to do the rebuild, which I'm excited about.
Exstairsinary delay ( 2 months))) , in every step of the process, from estimate approval, communjcations between multiple subcontractors materials selection, many mistakes secondary to lack of responsibility by insureance approval, contractors. All materials were sourced from Home Depot, low qualit, limited selection, poor delivery. The project manager, tried his best, but under oresure.
They always go above and beyond and they make it very easy to work with.
