Cheap product
Everyone has gone above and beyond to address issues I have brought up.
Our salesperson, Kristin has been amazing to work with throughout the entire process. Jimmy was very responsive, transparent and helpful throughout the process as well. They both answered every question that I asked with very little delay. Which surprised me, their responsiveness and transparency was a breath of fresh air and made the entire process so much more enjoyable.
It started with a spot in our countertops. There was an issue that was finally fixed, but not until we raised hell about it. Most recently, the light fixtures in the bathrooms are all loose, and according to the contractor they sent out, they were incorrectly installed and cannot be fixed. According to their people, it is a problem they are aware of. The lights have to be removed and have something put behind them and have the drywall repaired. I have 5 lights with the same issue and they say they will only fix one. How can I recommend them until they can prove they are worth recommending?
After one and a half of moving to my new home. All paint including kitchen, walls started peeling. Even the caulking around the frames of the home has cracks in it.
The paint which it was used for the kitchen cabinets is not stain removable, every time my wife or I try to wipe off just water it turns that area to a black stain. And when I called in texted Jamie the person who is in charge, he is not not responding to me.
Good build and pricing
The overall experience and knowledge of the buyer's agent was very helpful.
I would not recommend a Starlight Homes based on many factors. I’ll list them below as to not get long winded:
Poorly built cabinetry
Poorly laid flooring
Misaligned garage door
Lack of features compared to market
Lack of HOA information up front
Poorly installed siding
Lack of attic space
Extremely loud A/C
Rodents in the house
Poorly communicated financing options
Terrible sodding
Lack of caring for the landscaping prior to closing
Overpriced
Lack of care from the construction crew
Poor email communication
The workmanship of the home is not what we imagined for a builder that was named builder of the year.
